“TOO HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

The hotel is fine if you're into the night life and you're not going to be in the rooms too long. Three of us shared a room and it was a time when the weather was glorious but there was no air conditioning in the room. Also when you opened the window, apart from the noise outside it was very unsafe especially if there was too many bevvies or if there was kids about. Nice staff and the breakfast was lovely.

Perfect place for young people to stay. Cheap rates, great breakfast!, awesome beer garden and atmosphere, clean and tidy room which were perfectly serviced everyday. The furniture is quite antique but still very usable. And yes it was noisy but hey, thats dublin for you - everyone loves a drink!!

The nightclub here is really popular so there are queues down the street to get in and music goes on until all hours. Nice if you want that kind of thing. Also nice, as happened to us, we were given the cottage at the back of the hotel. We had our own 4 bedroomed cottage with kitchen, lounge and laundry room and two bathrooms. This can be requested but we were given it when we arrived. Would be great for anyone who wanted self catering or with a family. We did hear noise but it wasnt a problem. Breakfast was good. And free wifi in the comfortable reception area.

Room Tip: Ask for cottage or as far from the disco as possible.

Great location hotel itself is ok and cheap 4 location HOWEVER......we may as well have slept in the disco the noise was unbearable and bed was vibrating! If ur looking for any sleep at all pls don't stay here! Wud b ok if ur out drinking all nite and falling into bed at all hours but its defo not for one looking to relax after a days shopping. Also had to hand over 50 euro deposit on arrival never heard anything like it in my life!!!! When I did manage to get a small bit of shut eye I was woken up on 3 separate occasions with the fire alarm going off which after reading different reviews seems to be the norm!!!!!! Disgraceful...imagine there really was a fire it's just not good enough. Breakfast was ok. On departure the receptionist couldn't even look me in eye to ask did we enjoy our stay cuz he knew no one could ever possibly enjoy sleeping In a night club with fire alarms going off! Pls invest in some double glazing windows and proper fire alarms. Wouldn't stay here again if I got free booze all nite to drain out d noise!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every night, every day loud music until 3:30 am. I did not sleep three nights - no help from reception instead of sorry, we understand etc.... Do not recommend if you want to sleep at night.

Simply to say - if you want partying it's right place for you. If you want to sleep at night do not go to this hotel.

Also rooms are very hot and widows are impossible to keep open.

Hotel should warn you about fact that you can't sleep.

Room Tip: On the street side of the hotel - other side is like to sleep directly at night club!

Super location, good sized room and lovely food. Features of the Georgian building have been kept, including beautiful chandeliers and antique furniture, but felt that a cover of (e.g. Farrow & Ball) paint would have much better than orange wallpaper.
No one told us it was a night club going on until 3.30am with the kegs being dispatched and delivered during the day.
If you like your sleep, this is not the place for you.
