“Perfect for us - great visit.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

This hotel was perfect for us. Great location, easy walking distance to main areas and to the bus stops. Room was very comfortable (bonus = the shampoos & body wash were the best hotel samples I've had in a long time + very good hair dryer). Staff was very polite & helpful. Breakfast buffet was also very good. They had a computer & printer that was free & accessible. Plus, the hotel had great character. Highly recommend for couples traveling.

If you like a place that doesn't look like every other hotel.....this is your place! Eclectic furniture & design makes it interesting to look at!

Rooms are nice....comfy beds.....everything on the small side, but a decent size bathroom (yay!), so it worked for us. I traveled with my 28 & 32 y.o. daughters & they thought it was cool. There's a restaurant & bar.....I wouldn't recommend the restaurant.....but breakfast was decent every day.

What they're missing....a small refrigerator in the room. It makes all the difference in the world & they'd be smart to add one.

Me and my daughter travelled to Dublin for a 3 night get away in September. The Hotel was in a great location (just a 5 minute walk from Trinity College and Temple Bar), the staff were friendly, and the hotel was beautifully decorated. The Bar by reception was great for a drink in the evening, and the courtyard was definitely a lovely addition. We shared a double room, which was very comfy, however the view from the room was not the best (we were facing a back alley where all the bins were kept!) We were in one of the courtyard rooms, but were obviously not facing the courtyard!!! The room wasn't very well equipped- there was no bedside table, fridge, nor was there a wardrobe (there was a very small amount of hanging space- definitely not enough for 2 people). This was fine for us as we were only there for a short amount of time, but may have been a problem if we had been there for longer. Breakfast was average (cooked breakfast, toast, fruit, cereal)- would have loved to have seen pancakes available!! Overall we did have a good stay, the less than average room was made up for in the great location, and the beautifully decorated interior!

Room Tip: Double rooms were not very well equipped! But if you are given a courtyard room, make sure it actual...

My Wife and I have travelled extensively around the World but I have to say that this hotel has to be one of the most interestingly decorated we have ever stayed in. I can't begin to try and describe the style and perhaps the designer had drunk a little too much of "the black stuff" when he set to work but the result is both mad and brilliant at the same time

We were given a complimentary upgrade into an executive suite which is never a bad thing and may well skew our review but we really enjoyed our stay here.

The staff were extremely pleasant thoughout the hotel and very helpful. The rooms were very clean and the bed one of the most comfortable we have slept in. If you want a criticism then the pillows were a bit firm for me but that's just a personal preference. As for noise, we were on the first floor facing on to the Main Street but we didn't find noise a problem, the room seemed well soundproofed

Breakfast was good and a great start to the day and the location of the hotel means that you are only a short stroll to many of the key areas of the city.

Other than breakfast, we didn't eat at the hotel, but we did frequent the bar which was very nice.

This was our first visit to Dublin but we enjoyed it so much we are going to make it a regular event and we will be staying at this hotel every time.

In summary, brilliant hotel, brilliant staff, brilliant city.

Room Tip: The executive rooms are very nice

this is a lovely hotel - we stayed here 3 years ago and decided to stay again due to the location and the quirky furnishings - we enjoyed this stay too although the place has been refurbished in rich purple hues

staff are helpful and friendly - i booked a courtyard room this time and although they are comfortable and have what you need they are a bit smaller than the Tara rooms we had 3 years ago

Room Tip: if you can book a tara room i would as you get a bit more space

When my sister and I arrived, we could not believe the entrance: purple satin chaises longues, extreme purple wallpaper, wild chandeliers...the purple bordello theme continued into the reception area, but when we had stopped laughing, we found everyone professional and helpful. On our way to the lifts we were stopped in our tracks by life-size camels in the courtyard and a pterodactyl, alligator and a tiger gazing down from the roof! Who designed this place? I love it!

Our Courtyard room was modest (with almost no hanging space and NO folding space) but it was quiet, which we had requested. Pearce Street is a very busy rat-run, but the hotel is an oasis of calm: very good staff, very quirky.

The breakfast is not good: awful cheap orange juice, cold milk with the very poor coffee, so-called deluxe muesli consisting of oats and oats. For 15 euros you could do a lot better, and they should!

Verdict: the public areas are quirky and classy, the courtyard bedrooms are dingy but quiet, the breakfast is third-rate.

Room Tip: Courtyard rooms are unexciting but very quiet: the suites may be more elegant

We stayed 4 nights in Georgian Suite #7. It is on the top floor. The room is very large with a king size bed which was very comfortable and crisp linens. The bathroom was very large also but on the opposite side of the room near the sitting area. The windows are not double paned so it was very noisy. You really should bring ear plugs if your a light sleeper as you here everything out side. Small fridge is provided along with kettle and tea and coffee. Nice bathrobes and slippers. Small little chocolate treats and free bottled water privided daily.

I loved our room, but it was not very functional, there was a large armoire to hang your clothes but it was a bit awkward to see as the lighting in the room is not that bright. If you are a short person you will have trouble reaching the hangers. The bathroom was large but there was no where to plug a hair dryer there and no where in the room to plug a hairdryer where you have a mirror to see what your doing. There are no doors between the bedroom and sittling area, so if hubby is watching tv, your can here it . To get more light in the room you have to open the curtains, but the window overlooks other rooms in the court yard so people could possibly see in.

The lobby bar was nice and buzy, good cosmo martinis. I had an excellent caesar salad. The drinks are pretty pricey. But so was the rest of Dublin.

The concierge is not very good. Restaurant suggestions limited , and tour suggestions are relied on what brochures they have in lobby not personal experience or reviews

The location is an easy walk to all areas, including temple bar. We took Aircoach bus from the airport for 7 euros and got off at Trinity college/grafton street stop. It was a easy 5 min walk from the bus stop to hotel. We had an early flight when we left so we booked a taxi at the hotel which cost 30 euros to the airport.

Overall, I liked this hotel, even though our suite had some querks. I booked this room directly on the hotel web site it was a better price than other online sites and the price even when down before we got there so I was able to get a cheaper price on the same room, when I called the hotel to rebook under the cheaper price, which was nice. Check their "extended stay prices"

Room Tip: Georgian suite 7 was nice. But noisy and querky. See my review for details. Pictures on hotel web sit...
