“Good location, nice hotel for family stay.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

Stayed in hotel for two nights, with two kids, one been a toddler. Hotel is very close to luas, which meant we did very little driving. First day, staff seemed overstretched, had to wait along time to get our room sorted, which meant our list of activities was also shortened. Had to wait an exceptionally long time to be seated and served in restaurant, which was difficult with a hungry and tired toddler, but staff were always pleasant and helpful. Second day was alot better, with far better service, especially in the restaurant. Staff very amicable at all times, and hotel has an overall relaxed atmosphere.

Stayed in the hotel twice and have to say for the price you pay it is the best in Dublin from my experience. The staff are friendly, the rooms are always perfectly clean. While i feel that the beds and decor need to be updated, this does not take away from the value of the hotel.
Access to the city is easy with a bus stop across the road or a taxi into the city (cost us €17).

I would and have recommended this hotel to people.

Room Tip: If loud music is playing in function room, lower level room can hear this noise (Muffled).

I stayed at the green isle for a Christmas party night . Checked in at got room 220 . The room needed a good paint and the beds are not of hotel quality nor are the pillows . We had to contact reception as the room was cold and the heating was broken the manager came up and said he would sort it but nearly an hour later still nothing so we contacted reception again and were moved to room 255. This too again needs a makeover wall all marked and water stains on the ceiling . Beds again not hotel quality not pillows. Have to say reception is nice and welcoming and if the remainder of the hotel was the same it would be nice . The Christmas night was good but band didn't start until nearly 11. Food was nice and staff also. Would recommend Christmas night but maybe just get a taxi home after .

Stayed in this hotel last weekend for a Christmas party with friends.

Check in was handled quickly and smoothly. The room was clean, well kept and modern. OId TV hinted at a less salubrious past but frankly it didn't matter. Bathroom was well lit and newly renovated. Only gripe was the lack of big towels, but again no big deal.

We attended a Party Night and wasn't expecting much to be honest in relation to food but was quite surprised at how good it was. Staff were very pleasant at all stages, all requests were handled efficiently and with a smile.

The breakfast was fine, self service with all the usual offerings.

Wifi coverage was free and good too so no complaints there.

Didn't get a chance to use the pool or gym on this occasion.

Parking was free (barrier appeared to be out of action so not sure if this is always the case)

The hotel does exactly what it says it will do, its not a luxury venue but it would be unfair to class it as merely functional, it is much better than that.

Staff were friendly, the rooms are clean and well maintained with good wifi, there was decent food in the bar & restaurant and a decent gym with lovely staff, far enough put of town and close to motorway. the garage is indoors and theres a security guard about.

i checked in on the 6th of December, i am a regular customer there almost every weekend. i was paying cash and for the first time in the past few months they asked for a debit card but my card was declined because i took my money out the previous day for Christmas presents and etc. i offered a deposit of 500 euro just to let my self my girlfriend staying after travelling all the way out but they would not accept it. so the girl at reception Claire gave me a number for other local hotels and as i was waiting in the coffee area having a latte the guards approach me to search my bag and harass me over my money and chosen attire. i wonder if i was wearing a suit would i have been treated different. i was then asked to leave the premises for no apparent i have spent thousands in this hotel the past few months but i will never stop foot in it again, discrimination, definition of character, and made up policies as they go along very unprofessional i will be taking this matter up with my solicitor.
