“1st Visit - Won't be the Last”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

Spent recent weekend with friends at the Arlington O'Connell Bridge and was very impressed. Have visited Dublin many times and previously avoided this hotel due to the stag/hen reputation but couldn't have been more wrong. Greeted upon arrival be very friendly reception staff who convinced us to transfer our booking over from the Trad Irish Dinner Dance eve in the Arlington, Temple Bar (same group of hotels) to theirs at O'Connell Bridge as "far better show"! Glad we did. Rooms were spotless and quite spacious. The ground floor bar was busy, loud but quite friendly and with a great band. The dinner show in the evening was excellent, quality hot food, choice for all, music by musicians that seemed to be having fun too and dancing was good. After a trip in to Temple Bar (Temple Bar pub always great) we returned to the hotel and sampled the basement level night club - a bit too loud for us 40's group and maybe a reminder of an over 50's singles night with associated prowlers! Breakfast in the hotel again reflected the `pleased to help` attitude of all staff at the Arlington and plenty of hot/cold options and excellent soda bread to choose from. Would definately recommend staying here whatever age and would consider it ourselves again on our next visit to my favourite City.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor (4+) if you're a light sleeper as the noise from the bar could...

This was my 2nd time round staying at the arlington and just as I remembered, the food was good especially breakfast, also a nice clean room, they even had rose petals on our bed as it was our anniversary and the entertainment was second to none. we loved Puca and the dancers and had 2 fantastic nights here. It would be good if both lifts were workiung as it was quite a wait although we eventually found the stairs! The only downside was the room was very warm, we had to open window which meant it was even noiser than normal and the view wasnt great but it isnt enough to stop us returning! Thanks again

Room Tip: ask for a quiet room , although we did that but it such a busy area you cant avoid the noise.

Booked hotel and flight to dublin, then read the reviews of the arlington.......quite a few were not that good. But i only have good things to say about this hotel, friendly, clean, rooms lovely, night time entertainment good, lovely breakfast, ......faultless, location.......faultless. I cannot say anything against this hotel and would definently stay here again. Few comments previously made about outside noise.......did not find this a problem, your in dublin city centre some noise has to be expected, but this was not a problem even though we looked over a hostel from out bedroom window

I stayed here for one night with my fiancee in Feb 2013. We stayed here mainly for the location and the price, not expecting much from the hotel itself. How wrong we were. As it has been recently refurbished, it looks great inside and the rooms are very nice. The bed was huge and the bathroom was very clean. All the staff were very helpful and cheerful from the cleaning team to the management.

Breakfast the next morning was fantastic (I ate way too much, it was that good). We weren't leaving the city until later in the day, so we asked if we could leave our bags until we were ready to do so. The staff on the desk were only too happy to do this for us.

The location of the hotel couldn't be better, right on the banks of the Liffey, very close to the bus and train stations and a stone's throw from Temple Bar. All the other main attractions in Dublin are also not far away.

The only downside to our stay was that our room was very warm even with the radiator off and the window open. Even still, we will be definitely be staying here again and would certainly recommend it.

I just got back from two nights in dublin, where the Arlington Hotel was the base for us 20 hen's. It really is a superb location, pretty much in the centre of it all and 5 ish minute walk to the likes ot Temple Bar where all the action is.

The staff are really helpful and friendly and made us all feel very welcome.

Breakfast was fantastic with a huge selection and very attentive and polite staff.

Rooms were clean and spacious and the beds were comfy - a necessity after two full days on the sauce!

Aiming to go back to Dublin with my fiance at some point and i will definitely opt for the Arlington as it caters for couples as well as larger groups.

Fantastic location, mid-price range hotel. We stayed for 2 nights, had 3 twin rooms for single occupancy, well appointed rooms which were comfortable and clean. The receptionist who greeted us late in the evening after a very tiring and busy day was unfortunately less than warm and welcoming and barely even civil. Discussing this later we wondered if Dublin service industry staff are nicer to foreigners than native Dubliners. In the middle of the night I had occasion to go down to reception in search of painkillers and the receptionist on duty was friendly and helpful. I had to take a stroll across O'Connell Bridge to the 24 hr shop, and I was grateful for being in the busy centre of town and not somewhere less salubrious like the cheaper Parnell Street hotel we first considered.

While my room was relatively quiet -apart from some noisy guests returning to rooms late at night - my sister's room was directly above the bar where the Irish music and dancing went on very late, and even though she was two floors above she heard the noise and felt the vibrations and didnt sleep well until it stopped.

I thought this hotel was very reasonably priced for the quality and location, although I do like my sleep and would have been very annoyed indeed to be kept awake by the music. I would definitely stay here again, as long as they could give me a quiet room again.

Stayed on a Tuesday night. The dinner with the band and stepdancers is awesome. It is excellent entertainment.
A special thank you to the front desk who printed out a google map from the Jarvis parking lot to Kilkenney with each turn. It was awesome. The lady was so friendly and helpful. This is the second time we have stayed at the Arlington and both times were great. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was good. It is a great way to start a vacation.
