“Didn't meet my expectations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013 via mobile

Having just stayed in R B St Helens my first impression was of a beautiful hotel in a fabulous setting. On leaving the underground car parking. Confusion prevailed. The directional signs need to be re visited as reception although indicated initially is very unclear as is the breakfast room. All on different floors. Eventually we became orientated. Very happy with our room but food in the evening was especially the fish was tasteless and uninteresting. Service was very mixed as I was with a group and some plates were removed quickly and served the next course some of us were left with plates for quite a time. Staff were courteous and accommodating. At all times as is the Radisson experience. It would not take very much to make ones stay a more pleasant experience which I always have at Radisson Hotels

Stayed here for 3 nights on a conference. 1st rate hotel.

Very good welcome at reception, and all staff very welcoming. Bar staff were especially good and always smiling.

Room was great, 2 double beds, and it slept like a log each night. Bathroom okay, with good shower and nice towels. All very clean as well.

Breakfast excellent, with good selection and buffet always well stocked.

Lovely main building and well maintained gardens.

Would definately return on a private visit to Dublin

I stayed at the Radisson on 26th Sept and must say i was very happy with the overall level of care.We stayed in adjoining rooms as my family came with me. The rooms are big and spacious , The grounds are lovely and its hard to imagine your almost in city centre. The staff at front desk are pleasant and nothing is a bother to them. There was one member of staff who went out of his way to accomodate us as we needed something from pharmacy and he oblidged us by going for us . So thank you to the lad from Tipp , you are definately an asset to this fine establishment .But the breakfast is to die for ,fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, fully irish and the pancakes freshly made to order wow wow .Thank you for all your hospitality

this gem of a hotel is a little away from the city centre which
means it is quiet but its on a mainroute so ideal for the travel tourer and sight seeing guests.dublin 4 is a perfect location and for sports fans the aviva is a short drive away as are the great bars of ballsbridge now for the hotel...firstly the staff were amazingly polite and friendly ..and informative..breakfast was as good a fullirish buffet service ive ever seen an alternative was to take a continental one in the bar overlooking the back lawns...the italain restaurant talevera i thk was superb ,,,id say hard to beat in dublin i had the fish option all 3 nights that i stayed and all were perfect cod sea bass and swordfish..word of warning dont bother ordering any sides as they come with a mini mountqin of vegetables .the decor of ther hoel and rooms could be deemed by some as dated but i prefer to call it charming,,the bath for instance was quite small ..now thew bed ..simply the most comfortable ive slept in for some time .better than my home one by far..there is a free bsiness centre to catch up on emails and web surf ....all in all a great place to sat and i can see why there are so many weddings etc held there..this is a return visit for sure

Room Tip: none the rooms are all great a lounge on each floor was a great idea

We recently stayed for 6 nights at the Radisson Blu (09/24 - 09/30) and enjoyed everything about our stay. The hotel grounds were immaculate -- and the distance from City Centre was great because you didn't feel like you were right in the middle of the city. The staff at the front desk were always accommodating, as were the staff at the bar/restaurant. Taxi fare to City Centre was approximately 20E each way -- which worked out for us when we traveled in to the City in the evening. Overall, a wonderful stay. Very relaxing. Very pleasant. I would definitely recommend to others! Thank you Radisson Blu St Helen staff for a wonderful visit!

Room Tip: The curry offered at lunch at the bar -- is AMAZING!!! I would HIGHLY recommend it!

Stayed in a balcony suite and was very impressed. A lot of nice little touches (fresh fruit, boardgames cupboard) in addition to the room being beautiful and comfortable, with a view of the gardens. The staff were helpful and friendly, too. A very relaxing stay.

Very friendly staff, helpful great food and pleasant experience overall. Meals were good quality yet affordable, easy to talk, not loud so pleasant to converse. Highly recommend the location as close to the city by bus yet far away to feel distant from the heart of the action.
