“Jurys Inn, Custom House, Dublin”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2011

Stayed here three nights and the experience was okay. Could have been much better but no major regrets. Hotel is very nicely located. Just a five minutes walk from Custom House railway station, which i was told is the major station in Dublin. 10 min walk to the shopping district. Check in and check-out was fast and without hassles. Breakfast starts late and has a very limited choice. Internet was fast. Rooms are comfortable. Wound recommend to travellers who just need a place to rest and refresh.

A Party of 18 of us had 2 nights in the hotel
Check in went smoothly, and upon opening the door to room 130,i was very pleased with the room standard, with the added bonus of a lovely river view.
I didn't eat in the hotel, but all of the party who did, were very pleased with the food quality and the price paid.
Turn right out of the hotel, and after a short stroll in the sunshine we had a choice of turning right into o'connell street or left over bridge into the temple bar area.
All of the bars were very accomodating of our 18 strong stag party, the stag and his two best men were dressed as fairies on the friday night and became local celebrities causing quite a stir amongst the party goers in the streets of Dublins fair city
I recommend a trip to the emerald isle, but be sure to take plenty of euros,a pint of guinness is between 4 and 6 euros, you'll pay the same for a bottle,a local who saw one of our party pay over 5 euros for a bottle of heineken in the ha'penny bridge pub took it upon himself to question the bar man, then buy a pint of heineken for our man who gratefully accepted the offering.A nice touch which summed up the friendliness of the natives
A fantastic weekend was had by one and all

Stayed here in June 2011 with 2 friends and we had a triple room which consisted of a double bed, single bed and a pull out double sofa bed. Apparently we had been upgraded and appreciated the extra space.

We went to a concert and it was nice when we got back to the hotel that they had a late buffet available for all us hungry folk which seemed good value.

The breakfast wasn't included in our price but at only 10.50 euro each it was perfect.

Car park next door really handy .... all in all a nice place to stay and will stay again!

I stayed at this hotel with a friend over the weekend on my first ever trip to Dublin. The reception staff were very friendly and we were thrilled to get our room right away, despite arriving around 11am. The room was very clean and has a nice view out the back of the hotel. Although it was quite close to the lifts which didn't bother me as I'm a heavy sleeper, but not great for light sleepers.

Breakfast in the morning was lovel, there was a nice selection from both the hot and cold buffet. We ate dinner on one of the nights too which was fabulous. The restaurant staff were so friendly and were very obliging when we asked to take the rest upstairs as it was too much.

The hotel is very well situated, it took us only 10 mins to walk to Temple Bar and the walk along the liffy was very nice. The only negative I will make is that Housekeeping were really noisy first thing in the morning. We were woke up at half 8 on Sunday morning to doors slamming. I found it very irritating and rather inconsiderate, it is not hard to close a door quietly and they slammed the doors 10 times that I counted in the space of 5 mins! Unacceptable.

Overall, though the incident with housekeeping will not stop me returning to this hotel in the future and I would definately recommend to my friends and family. Though maybe one suggestion I might make is to have a few buscuits with the tea and coffee facilities in the room. Great Hotel.

Room Tip: 302 - Lovely room however a little noisy as near the lift.

We stayed at Jurys Custom House over a Friday and Saturday night in July and really liked it. The hotel is modern and the staff friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and easy and overall the hotel public areas were clean and spacious. Our room was great with a comfortable bed and plenty of hanging space for clothes. Ladies - a new looking hair dryer with one attachment was in the drawer. The bathroom was nice and roomy and was very clean. The room also had four large mirrors. We had a river view which does also overlook a busy-ish main road but that was no problem for us as the double windows cut out all of the noise when closed. The room wasn't too hot either - really nice in fact despite the hot weather. Breakfast is fantastic and the staff are extra helpful, plenty to eat and drink with hot or cold available. All in all its one of the better hotels that we choose to stay in and is worth the money payed. This is our second visit to this hotel and we find the location ideal - its near enough to walk to any area and away from all the city centre noise. Plenty of cabs are usually parked outside and the 747 bus to and from the airport stops right outside too. We will certainly be back!

We had to book at the last minute as we were attending a concert at the O2. This hotel is perfectly located for that and the fact it has an adjoining (public) car parkl was also a plus.

Check-in was quick but could have been more efficient. Electronic keys for door did not work first time round (a big pet hate of mine). Room was comfortable without being stunning but got a cracking nights sleep - right thorugh to 11am. Of course that meant we missed breakfast but if the food in the hotel restaurant is anything to go by it would have been avergae anyway.

A bit on the pricey side all round (room , food and drink) but then this is Dublin City Centre we are talking about.

Location wise this is pefect and it is a nice hotel but the food wasn't great so next time I would try the Clarion IFSC right next door first to see if its any better.

But I wouldn't be distraught if this was the only place I could book into either.

Great hotel for a concert at the 02. Have stayed there several times. The rooms have been modernized since I last stayed there. Friendly staff, lovely clean rooms but they are extremely hot and there is no air con. Good breakfast, nice bar food.
