“Close to shopping but not noisy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2012

My husband and I just spent 3 great days in Dublin at the Conrad Hilton. We have stayed in Dublin before but not near Grafton Street - where the main shopping is. The hotel is situated just off St Stephens Green - a very pleasant park which meant that is way a little away from the noisy, busy thoroughfares. We had dinner there on the first night and it was very good.

Compliments too to all the staff who could not do enough for us - with a smile too. The hotel is even situated about 50 yards from where you catch the airline coach to airport - bargain 8 euros and only 30 mins!

Room Tip: We booked through the internet and had the option to upgrade for 9 euros which we did.

Very comfortable hotel in good location. Staff are helpful. Meeting rooms good although the chairs get a bit uncomfortable after two days. Buffet breakfast excellent. My room was very comfortable. Bed and pillows perfect. Robe in the closet!

We arrived to find a chocolate and strawberry plate in the lounge room and two huge towel swans with rose petals on the bed! Close to everything. Music in the lounge.

Overall its a very nice hotel with an excellent location; its approximately one block from Stephens Green and close to Trinity University. No need to use taxis or public transportation to get into town. Excellent location for sight seeing and shopping.

The staff is very efficient and friendly - my wife had made some special requests and everything was wonderfully arranged by the time we made it to our room. Our check in & check out process ran very smoothly less than 3 minutes. The rooms at the Hotel are clean and modern with very comfortable beds, some what spacious; basically they had everything we needed including a Coffee machine (always nice to have)..

Wifi connection at a very reasonable daily rate (€5.00).

Ordered room service, food was good and very well presented, the only thing the surcharge for room delivery was a little expensive (€6.00) regardless of what you order; but besides that all was great.

We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to coming back soon and would recommend this hotel.

I stayed here in February 2012. The cost for the night was 199 euro with Breakfast included. Overall its a nice hotel in a very convenient location; just few steps from Stephens Green and close to Trinity University.

The Good:
Excellent location for sight seeing and shopping
My room was available upon my arrival at 1:00 pm
The rooms are not large by US standards, but are more than adequate
Valet parking
Very nice and accommodating staff.
Business center is available 24 hours.

The Not so good:
Avoid the ALEX restaurant for dinner- Expensive and overly salted food
The piano player in the lobby is a bit too loud if you are trying to have a conversation.
The fitness center is small.
Don’t depend on the door man for direction. If you drive make sure you have or rent a GPS.

Having stayed here a few times now - it is still as good as ever. Efficient staff - especially very helpful concierge. Excellent location for the shops on Grafton Street or a stroll through St Stephens Green. Also within a half hour walk to Aviva stadium.
