Nice.
Really nice.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, lots of info, plenty more info available if needed.
Breakfast was good - staff were very pleasant.
Location is cool, actually location is excellent - far enough away from everything but close to top end restaurants, park, shopping centre and ten minutes more to the heartbeat of the centre, pubs etc

Thank you Shaun H for taking the time to write this review following your recent stay with us. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay so much. Our location is excellent - so central but not too near late night bars and nightclubs.
We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the near future.

Kind regards,
Paul Gallagher,
General Manager.

Visit number two to Buswells was amazing just as our first was. Staying at the hotel was in two definitely different seasons (March- Saint Pat's in '12, then height of tourist season in Aug), but the service was equally as impressive. Our room was perfect! Just as our last visit was, it was confirmed again, the staff at Buswells makes up for any inadequacies (although I don't really see any). Patrick, one of the managers, was absolutely wonderful. After having a little credit card debacle, he was quite understanding as international travel and credit cards isn't always flawless. Even as he was busy helping in the hotel bar on a busy Saturday night, he never neglected to conversate with us or brush us off because he was too busy. Colm, one of the other managers, was also very friendly while we were wrapping up a night of touring in the bar with a night cap. Great conversation and very knowledgeable. Beyond management, the wonderful doorman as well as the amazing front desk staff were absolutely phenomenal! Even as we arrived right as a large tour group was arriving for check in, never once they seem stressed or overwhelmed. They kept smiling and doing what needed to be done.

When we return our next trip (most likely March '14), as long as a room is available, we will be at Buswells again! As silly as it is, we feel like some of the staff are our friends away from home that we can't not visit when we come! :-)

Great job, YET AGAIN!

We spent three nights at Buswells. We took the Air Coach from the Dublin airport and the stop was just across the street from the hotel (one past the Trinity College stop). It is very close to Grafton Street, St. Stephen's Green, Trinity College and the tourist information center, as well as several museums and pubs. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They asked if we would like a top sheet as an alternative to the duvet as it was fairly warm while we were there. This was a nice option that we hadn't been given at any other place we'd stayed during the past two weeks. We didn't eat in the restaurant but enjoyed the bar food. Delicious sandwiches. We stayed in Room 305 facing out to the street. It was not an accessible room if mobility impaired, but a lovely room with a nice view of the neighborhood.

Visited this weekend stayed in room 103. Room clean and tidy two cracked tiles in the bathroom and bathroom floor a bit slippery when wet, ceiling could do with a makeover. Nice tv tea making facilities good. Nice breakfast good variety. Front of house staff freindly male concierge paddy very nice. Younger staff could do with a bit more training, excellent bar nice barman, good choice of whisky try the middleton ! The hotel is slightly out of town its a long walk to guiness or jamesons but good for shopping ..if you are going to the brewery get the bus ! Cabs are great the airbus is ok as long as you don't get a stag party on there with you...on the whole I would go back the hotel is worth it.

On arrival our shower wouldn't work properly. They were there within the minute to try and fix it. The man was very apologetic and took our bags to a new suite. These things happen, I was impressed with the quick response to sort our problem out. Great location and friendly staff.

Stayed at Buswells for second time this week. Location is perfect for exploring Dublin. Lobby area is lovely. Staff were helpful and friendly. Beds and linens are comfy and up to date, as are bathrooms. My only two criticisms are the WiFi system which is very persnickety, and the amount of trash bags, etc. that the cleaning crew leaves in the hallway as they are servicing the rooms. Otherwise very good experience. Would return again.

Out of the many hotels available for an overnight on our way out of Dublin I chose Buswells both for location and nostalgia. I specifically also chose a "suite" which was a big mistake in all senses. Far removed from the main part of the hotel, up endless flights of stairs and corridors to an attic - yes with two rooms - but dusty and unkempt and with no view through very dirty windows. I was too tired to move rooms though it was offered after I complained which begs the question what is wrong with these hotels that put you in the worst room and only give you something better after a song and dance routine? For the luxury of this suite experience I paid almost twice as much as other family members who were booked into standard rooms but who told me they had ample room! I have to say that the staff were very friendly and nice people.

Travelleralways2, thank you for your review following your stay with us recently.

I was disappointed to read that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Buswells Hotel is made up of a combination of five townhouses and therefore there are a number of stairs and corridors to some of our rooms. Both suites in the hotel are located in the same area, where we are unfortunately unable to install a lift.
I have spoken with our reservations staff to ensure that going forward any guest booking our suites are fully aware of the stairs & their location. With regards to the housekeeping issues that you mentioned, you have my assurance that these were looked into immediately.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to post your comments, these are vital to improving the service and product that we offer at the hotel.
I look forward to welcoming you back to Buswells Hotel in the near future,

Kind regards,
Paul Gallagher,
General Manager.
