We just finished spending four nights at Buswells and we were quite pleased with the hotel, especially for the price. The location is great. It sits on the corner of Molesworth (as small east-west street only two blocks long) and Kildare (north-south) with a bus stop just across Kildare from the hotel. St. Stephens Green is two blocks south and Grafton Street three blocks west.
The staff was very attentive and friendly and the room was spacious but little storage. It is an older hotel but the beds were comfortable enough. The shower needed to have the drain snaked and they'd hung the shower curtain incorrectly as it bowed inward instead of outward but those were the only two issues we had. Be sure to pay attention to how the shower works. The shower is not run on the same faucet as the bathtub and you might be confused by that. There is a full shower controlled by a plastic circular knob for water flow with an inner temperature adjustment control. What can cause the confusion is bathtub faucet sports a hand-held sprayer that you might find attached to the wall in other hotels. There is no attachment bracket since they have fully installed showers.

We would stay there again. It is right next to the National Library and Parliment, walking distance to anywhere in the city center. We walked to Dublin Castle, Christchurch, Temple Bar, Merrion Square, etc. The only time we took a bus was to go to Guinness and Kilmainham Gaol.
While there is a lift, the hotel has multiple split levels. If you cannot negotiate stairs, let the...
