Stayed here due to it being the best priced hotel with a pool in Dublin City. The room was fine albeit v small. However we were v disappointed to find the toilet in the room was dirty and there were stains on one pillowcase and the duvet. These stains looked like tea or coffee and were next to each other which suggested to me that they were done by a previous guest and the bed was not changed - how disgusting is that!!! Only that it was late and am 9 months pregnant I had no energy to ask for another room. The pool was freezing cold and the changing rooms were really dirty with hair all over the floor and dirty lockers. Also I went swimming in the evening and the next morning and there were at least two pairs of flip flops in the pool area that were there the night before and no one else in the pool who they could belong to. Yuk. And €15 a night for parking on top of €105 for the room is expensive. When I mentioned the issues on check out the man acted surprised and said he'd let housekeeping know. No real apology or offer of free parking or anything. Couldn't be bothered to argue, can only recommend that you stay elsewhere in Dublin unless u really want to be in that area I would stay somewhere in Ballsbridge for half the price with free parking and forget the pool. Won't stay here again.

We had never stayed here before but we took a chance on the mid-term deal with overnight b+b and kids club and we have to say we have no regrets and would do it again. From the porter (think his name was Eamonn), to the reception staff to Laura and Sophie who looked after the kids in the kids club, everyone was very nice and accomodating. The best part of it was the piece of mind that we could leave the kids with Laura & Sophie and have no worries. I would encourage the Clarion to do the kids club again and couldnt recommend it highly enough. Our room was a suite with two double beds and was plenty big enough for the four of us. The gym was well equiped with good helpful staff. The pool could have been a bit more heated as the kids found it a bit chilly. The food in Kudos was excellent. Overall very good and we would do it again.

This was our second and last visit here. The room we originally booked had been given away and it took 4 hours and numerous calls to get it sorted. restaurant was closed as the hotel was too quiet and on the sat night they closed the bar as there was only us on 3 other rooms staying in the hotel(this was too much information and did not make us feel safe). we asked was the pool shallow enough for our youngest to get in as she could not swim and we were informed that it was. the pool was not only too deep but the water was very cold

Had 2 days here for the six nations and was thoroughly impressed. Helpful front of house, great big buffet breakfast and the rooms were very nice. Decent gym set up in the basement if you fancy it as well.
