We stayed overnight on Saturday 29 December in room 610. The room was cold from the start when we checked in at around 6 but I assumed it would warm up. When we got back at 0130 in the morning it was unacceptably cold so turned heating up to max. After 30 mins still not warm so phoned reception, told it takes some time to get warm. Went to bed cold. On checkout complained to duty manager and was told there is a heating problem in some of the rooms, cause unknown!! Why would you put clients in a room with a known heating fault in a freezing night? He thanked me for bringing the matter to his attention, although by his own admission, he already knew about it. He did not offer any compensation. As i was now motivated to complain,iI took the opportunity to tell him about several other inconveniences, namely that the electrinic exit door from the car park to the street does not open when you push the button unlike every other electronically-operated doer in the world. You have to hold the button down while you push the door. He admitted that he gets regular phone calls from people trapped behind this door- which suggests there might be a problem with the instruction on the door. This hasn't occurred to him apparently!
A nice hotel with large comfortable rooms but it is not acceptable to pay full price for a room with a heating fault.
