Policy on children makes it an absolute no go. I think they may be in breach of legal requirements for access; however, they maintain a printed policy that bans all children under 7 throughout the day and those over 7 (up to?) are allowed until 6pm (for brunch). While I'm sure many of the adult clientele welcome the banning of children and will scoff at my complaint, the rights of the young and of non discrimination on the basis of age are thankfully well established in this State and should be protected. If it were older people, I think the sign (and business) wouldn't last.
While I fully appreciate that some children are allowed run wild in restaurants in Ireland, enforcing discrimination as a rule is an inappropriate and disproportionate approach. The restaurants should grow up and ask the offenders to leave.
I will be formally registering my complaint with the establishment and alerting the relevant agencies and services.
No Irish, no dogs. No pasaran!
