“Good value, convenient location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2010

The Harding is near Christchurch cathedral -- easy walking distance to Temple Bar, Trinity College and Grafton St. It is a traditional hotel with rooms re-decorated in a contemporary style. Our room was clean and roomy, and relatively quiet except for a bit of late-night reveling outside. Also the cathedral chimes sound at every quarter hour.

Very nice hotel and in a great location. Everything was in walking distance, room was larger than expected, hotel staff all very pleasant and helpful, food in the bistro was very tasty and well priced. Would def stay here again.

Let's face it, when you travel to see things, a hotel is mainly for sleeping only. The Harding provides that at a great price and location. The staff, especially Emma, were warm and friendly. The rooms were quite large especially by European standards. Hop on and off bus stop near by and pleanty of resturants and pubs within 2-4 block area. Great landing pad close to Temple Bar area.

This was a good functional hotel. The room we had was on the 4th floor. It was quiet room even though there was Karaoke in the Pub downstairs on Friday Night. The room was big and was reasonably clean. The location is excellent with a short walk to the Temple Bar area and to the main city area. It was just across the road from the Christchurch Cathedral. The breakfast was good, served quick and was hot. Overall we enjoyed the stay there, but it did not take our breath away like some other places we have stayed. Would recommend for a good cheap hotel right in the heart of Dublin.

We cancelled a group of 12 for dinner due to the attitude of the staff in the pub/restaurant.
Next day there was no change and we left again.

The hotel allows partiers to be outside in the inner courtyard until the wee hours of the morning. The revelers take priority over the guests trying to rest. Can you not close at 11pm and force the drinkers to be inside? The rooms are not air conditioned as well.
Therefore you are forced to have the windows open as well.

Rooms were very clean and neat, beds comfy, pillows fluffy. I didn't have any issues with noise, but we specifically requested a room at the back (per suggestion of some other travelers on TripAdvisor). Location is pretty good, with bus stops very nearby and Temple Bar a 5 minute walk, very easy. The breakfast really is GREAT, I was very well fed and impressed. Would completely recommend it to anyone traveling to Dublin

Read a few reviews on here before our trip and checked the hotel website - so was expecting a mediocre hotel. How wrong we could have been! The hotel was fabulous - a lot more stylish than their website suggested! The "noisy bar" didn't affect any of us at all and the outside smokers area had 3 smokers outside at most! The noise was none existent! It seems like anyone one who previously complained about this hotel must have been in bed by 9pm - why anyone would go to Dublin and go to bed at that time is beyond me!!! The hotel has an excellent location! On the doorstep of temple bar - perfect for a good old Irish night out! Just down the way along Dame street is 'Legends Bar' were they put on a mega dinner/show night! Booking is a must though! Close to Graffton street with brilliant shopping and some beautiful shopping! The city bus tour [the big green open top buses] are highly recommended a two day pass can be purchased and it takes you all around the city passed all the sights with a hop on hop off scheme at every sight and the bus even stops just up the street from the hotel. By far the easiest way to get around the city from the hotel.
