“Great pint of Guinness, and Trad music”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2014

Good Guinness, what more do you need.
Trad sessions weekly, buzzing atmosphere. The smoking area is a gutted out building between two other buildings, its pretty cool. You can sit out there on a sunny day and its heated at night/winter

“Best Trad Session”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

We went to Ireland looking for music. The quality of the session here was wonderful, and the musicians were very approachable and friendly. Much better than the other options on the south side. No food here though, just great beer selections and wonderful atmosphere.

Will stay closer and spend more time here in the future. Well worth the trip.

“BEST PUB IN DUBLIN - BY FAR”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

This is by far the best pub I have been to in Dublin. Good Irish music - none of the Templebar tourist rubbish and a good selection of beers and nice people. This is a traditional style bar which gets busy. The music is played down the front of the bar and there is often a dozen or so players with a whle variety of instruments. We visited on too separate occasions including a Sunday which didn't reflect on business - it was still jumping!!! A*

“Awesome tradional Irish music”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013 via mobile

On my way to my hotel, the cab driver recommended this pub. I'm glad I listened. Great neighborhood bar. Good beer selection, friendly bartenders and awesome Irish music live performance.

“Music”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

A really untourist like pub where musicians play authentic music. Very much a local pub and off the tourist route. Close to the hop on hop off bus stop though, for an afternoon visit.
