Having only one night in Dublin to see live theatre, it was a tough call: An experimental piece or a classic? I chose the classic by George Bernard Shaw, at the Abbey Theatre: Major Barbara. I was not sorry. For a student price of 20 EU, I scored sixth row center seats for one of the best political dramas ever written. The production and sets were excellent. But more importantly, Shaw held up better than I could have imagined in today's world. I was uplifted and enlightened, and left the theater with much to think about. What more can we ask?
