Went here 2 years ago as part of an anniversary trip. The room was gorgeous, and we just loved it. Breakfast was also great, as well as the hostess. We were even given an anniversary card when we checked out. So sweet. We'd love to stay here again.

Butlers Town House Hotel is an excellent place to stay to explore Dublin, located only a few minutes' walk from the Aviva Stadium and the Landsdowne Road DART stop, from where it takes about 5-10 minutes to get into the centre of the city. The Aircoach shuttle bus also stops on the main road outside another hotel, less than a five-minute walk away from Butlers.

I was told that nearly all the staff have worked at the hotel for about 10 years, which really shows as there's a great 'family' feel about the way the place is run. My friend and I were offered free hot drinks on both check-in and check-out: nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We also had an excellent meal at a nearby restaurant following a recommendation by the staff. Speaking of food, breakfast was another highlight for me, with an impressive choice on the menu and a high quality cooked breakfast (plus ample choice from the buffet).

One minor criticism is that the bathroom in our room (Ormond) was a little bit tatty (e.g. bits of wood had fallen off the end of the side of the bath) but, overall, I would highly recommend Butlers as a place to stay in Dublin in general, and particularly if you're a sports fan. A friend and I took advantage of a 50% off offer on twin rooms, which represented fantastic value for money.

I stayed at Butlers for a week and loved it! It made my trip to Ireland more authentic. I was worried about my late check in, I arrived around midnight, but it went smooth as butter. The front room or great room, is just that a GREAT room, it is beautiful! The location is awesome, a nice walk from city centre, less than a minute walk from the train. It is also walking distance from the US Embassy and one of the best restuarants in Dublin. I visited Newgrange and one of the pick up points was Butlers! I just walked out the door and the tour company picked me up! My day to Newgrange was earlier than breakfast started but they had the buffet ready and asked the day before what I would like, that is service! Everyday when I came back from my exploring I was asked if I would like tea or coffee. The people are very nice and I felt very comfortable here. If I am in Dublin again I will check to see if they have a room available so I can stay there again.

We had two nights at Butlers Town House which is convenient for both the city (30 minutes walk away) and the Airport Shuttle Bus (5 minutes away).

The service throughout our stay was excellent, we really enjoyed sitting in the lounge having a coffee and talking to other guests.

The breakfast was good, particularly the poached haddock which was excellent, as was the homemade jam and banana cake.

WiFi was available not the fastest but more than adequate for checking emails etc.

The room (Ormond) was clean if a little small, as was the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable.

Overall a very good hotels that we would definitely stay at again when we visit Dublin next.
