“Cool ambiance”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2014

This was a neat stop off after our tour of the Guinness brewery. The bartender had some great stories about the local whiskey, and his opinion was as strong as the hot whiskey my wife had. Guess anything but neat was a living shamous to him. He was funny in a good way. We had a traditional Irish meal that was okay. They were in the process of renovating two upper floors and this limited their current menu. On a scale of 1 - 5, 5 being the highest. ... The bar and it's history get a 5, the drinks get a 4 and the food gets a 3. Was worth the visit to be a small part of history.

“Good but busy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2014

A good place to eat and drink. Difficult to get a place to sit, due to the popularity of this bar. Well worth a visit when in Dublin

“Great Guinness Stew from the Oldest Pub in Ireland”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

Small pub, but great atmosphere, my husband and I tried this pub out on a cold wet February evening, the Stew was exactly what the doctor ordered!

“Unique pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2014

One of the few unique traditional pubs in Dublin! It's located close to Christ church and Dublin's old side. The pub is beautiful, historic and friendly.
