“Very nice hotel - walking distance for rugby and south Dublin”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

I was pleasantly surprised with the former Burlington. I stayed with a friend, and we had nothing but excellent service, good food and a decent pint. The hotel is easy walking distance to Lansdowne Road / Aviva stadium, and the usual rugby hotspot pubs. It's also a short walk to the city centre, although taxis are easily available too. One tip is to upgrade if you can to get access to the business centre. There's a free Guinness tap for those residents with access! We paid 20 euro for the upgrade per night, and more than made up for it with the free Guinness!

Stayed here as part of a business trip to Dublin, arrived a little early for check in but it was no problem at all, staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and of course I got my 'warm cookie' Room was very comfortable and clean definitely one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. We had some drinks and food in the bar, would highly recommend!

I've stayed here numerous times (I'm here almost every couple of weeks for work) and its a nice enough hotel but falls way short of others I've stayed at.

The rooms are clean, well appointed and have everything required for a comfortable stay so really can't fault them here - it's part of the reason I keep coming back but there are a few things that really drag it down.

The reception staff seem generally uninterested and its a rare occurrence to get a genuinely warm welcome.

I'm a HHonors Gold card holder and it's pretty much useless at this hotel. Apart from the fact I have to prove my status every time I get there, they seem to be completely uninterested in recognising customer loyalty. This trip they have "upgraded" me to an executive room which should (according to their room descriptions) provide executive lounge access - however it's exactly the same room I always get and reception have just informed me I need to pay an extra fee for the lounge access ... Extremely disappointing considering it states online that if you are upgraded to an executive room you will enjoy lounge access - clearly not here so beware.

Breakfast is usually pretty good but is the standard Buffett fayre with nothing special to set it apart so nothing to rave about.

Not a bad hotel overall but if you are a regular traveller, I'd suggest going to Marriott as they reward loyalty much more than Hilton.

This is a difficult review to write as we stayed here for 3 nights but unfortunatly due to a loud function we didnt sleep till 2am the saturday night due to noise .

My partner works in Dublin quite a bit and recommended us to stay here while away . The Hotels lovely and very grandly decorated . The staff on arrival at the front desk were brilliant . Our room was on the fourth floor and it was lovely clean and perfectly decorated .Breakfast was amazing everything you require and more , wonderful .

We ate in the hotel our first night and second as we were out sight seeing during the day first night (weds) was lovely in a nice booth in the bar , however the second night ( thursday ) wasnt so nice as there was a function on all the downstairs area was just buzzing with people talking it seemed quite over crowded for the size if area it is . We got a booth but couldnt talj much to each other as it was sooooo noisey . We didnt carry on drinking after our meal we just went up to our room .

Heres our last night( friday ),again we had been out for a long days sight seeing and thought meal back at the hotel and pack , we walked in and again the reception area was packed with people dressed up , bar area packed and lounge area packed . We asked at reception is there anywhere we can get a sit down meal in thevhotel and the man on reception said give it half hour and these people will move into the function room . After going up to our room for galf hour we came down and it was still packed . We asked a different guy on reception was there anywhere as paying guests we could have a meal ? He said no .

We returned to our room and ordered room service , not quite our last meal away we hoped for . Then at 9pm it started the loud music , we were 4 floors up and it was so loud . My partner rang reception and said how long is this going on he said until about 12pm . They offered us to move rooms but we said we are checking out tomorrow so we would gave had to pack to unpsck and pack again , plus we were in our bed clothes as it was getting on . He did also offer ear plugs ? Which we couldnt believe tbh . The end of it is we didnt sleep until it stopped at 2am !!!

Its december and we understand its christmas party season but we couldnt understand why they disregarded the needs of hotel guests and also could they not have the function room sound proofed ? I would imagine they had quite a lot of guests with a sleepless night that night .

Next day was checking out day , my partner went to pay and the man on reception did say he knew we had dad problems so he knocked €99 of our bill , which we thought was a nice gesture however we still felt so ket down by our time there ,

Not sure i would recommend people to stay here or return myself which is a total shame .

I stayed here with my mum after winning a prize on the facebook page Her.ie which included two nights stay B&B and a two course meal in the BBar. The staff were very efficient and the bar manager, waiters in the bar and manager at the breakfast buffet were particularly friendly and professional. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. The only thing was I felt the heating didn't appear to be working in our room. I was also a little disappointed at the noise level as the night life in the hotel and function room seemed to be just below all the rooms. The fact it was Christmas and a lot of Christmas parties were in full swing could be the reason for this. The food in the bar was lovely and the room service was quick. Public transport was just outside the hotel with the option of getting a taxi or a bus. Would stay here again.

When I was booking a night in the hilton at a superior room, i was slightly miffed at having to part with €139 for one night without any food. When i arrived however, those misgivings were blown out of the water.

Between the concierge offering to park your car, the receptionist handing you a warm cookie, and the bathrobe hanging in the room you enter with contactless keys, it is easy to see why the Hilton is an internationally renowned brand.

The room was perfectly clean, with all the standard amenities catered for, along with the option to have a selection of deodrant, toothpaste, and morning papers. While i did not spend a large ampunt of time in the hotel, i had time to enjoy the interior of the suite, as well as the exceptionally laid out bar. After a nice relaxing evening spent in the room i had the pleasure to enjoy a club sandwich the next day after checkout. Despite a busy environment, the staff were attentive and welcoming, and the food at a very high standard.

I would most certainly stay here again.
