We went to see the Cliffs of Moher with our driver/tour guide Eddie. We got, what we came to see, which was the cliffs - the mainattraction - but we were a bit dissapointed that, we did not get more than an hour and a half on the main attraction of this tour. The tour it self took over 3 hours, and after a 3 hour long trip, we were dissapointed not to have time walking around the cliffs for more than that. The area around the cliffs is huge, and on an hour and a half, you only have time to take some quick photographs, and then back in the bus. We did stop plenty of times on our way to the cliffs for bathroom stops, and we also made a stop at a small castle about an hour from the cliffs. Just a stop where we we're dropped of to take some quick photographs and then back on the bus again. After the cliffs we stopped at a local pub, that had really good food, nothing to complain about the pub, but we only got 40 minutes - the whole bus - to get in, order our food, eat it and then get back on the bus. Then if you stod back in line, you did not have time to eat your food at a prober speed. And the reason why we had to eat fast, was because all other bus companies going to the cliffs, we're making their lunch stop here as well. Then maybe consider stopping another place for lunch, so people did not have to eat that quick. After lunch we made a 15 minutes stop at an old abbey of some sort, fast in and out to take photograps once again. Then we made a stop in a small village, why i did not understand, maybe to make a bathroom stop? Even though we just came from the pub, where people could have used the bathroom. Nothing really to see. Then people could not find the bus, because our driver for some reason had to turn the bus, even though he ended stopping the same place, where he did leave us in the first place. After this stop we made another stop at some beautiful cliffs with amazing view over the atlantic, not as amazing as the cliffs of moher, but amazing it was, again only for 10 minutes, did not really get any time at all to more than a few meters from the bus. This area was amazing and we would really have appreciated more time. Then we headed back to Dublin. If we have to say something about the driver/tour guide Eddie, then it must be that he has a lot of knowledge about the irish history. That is good, and he made sure that everybody knew, when the bus was leaving at all stops. But during the whole tour, he almost did not turn off his microphone, which made a lot of noise in the speakers. You could hear the man breathe in the speakers when he did not have anything to say. Maybe consider turning of the microphone when not used? A bit dissapointed that Eddie did not show us around the different places. He most of all just talked to a colleage - we think - that was following us for most of the tour in another bus. We have been on other Day tours before, where the driver did show us around the areas, where he did stop, and that gave the tour a huge plus. So overall we could have used more time at certain stops, and some of the stops we did not find interesting. Our overall opinion would be that you had to rearrange this Tour a bit, but this is only advice not critisism.
Thank you for thanking us to see the amazing sight that the cliffs of moher were!

Thanks for the review of our Cliffs tour and your constructive criticism. It's great that you actually commented on this rather than highlighting the things that you might have found unattractive about the tour. That is much appreciated. I have had a chat with Eddie and asked him to turn off the mike when he is not talking. He apologies for this. Regarding this time at the Cliffs, I would love to give you more time but 1.5 hours is really the most we can afford to give you there so you you can arrive back in Dublin at a reasonable time i.e. before 8pm. We also try to give you a larger overview of the region as the whole of this coastline is amazing. But saying that this area does deserve a lot more time than we can give you on this day trip. I am glad that the Cliffs did not disappoint and you did get to leave with positive thoughts on Ireland and us.
