We booked this tour before arriving in Dublin, and picked up the bus on O'Connell Street near our hotel. Everything was well organized, and the bus arrived when and where it was supposed to. Thankfully, a representative was nearby to confirm that this was the bus we wanted, because it was a smaller bus and did not say "Gray Line" clearly on it.
We made a few stops to pick up additional passengers before getting on our way.
Our tour guide, Gillian, was absolutely delightful--so friendly and so very knowledgeable. She made an already enjoyable tour even more so with her friendly manner and her informative comments. Brava, Gillian!
Our driver, Michael, did an excellent job, especially on some of those tiny, winding roads. Bravo, Michael!
We stopped in the lovely seaside town of Bray, visited Powerscourt Gardens and then Glendalough. We also made a couple of stops for photo opportunities.
Gillian made an effort to make all of us feel welcome and comfortable. The long day just flew by, and we returned safe and sound and happy to have taken this excellent tour.
While it is no doubt possible to visit these locations independently, I don't think it could be done in one day and with so much ease. It was wonderful to relax on a comfortable bus and know that we would be visiting several lovely sites with no worries on our part. I highly recommend this tour, and I am grateful to Gillian and Michael for making this tour extra-special for us.
