“Nice atmosphere, spacious, crazy cocktails.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2011

Great place to go with your girls after work! We had some amazing cocktails with crazy ingredients that you wouldn't think would go together, but totally do. I also had the tomato soup and it was to die for! The wait staff was friendly and the lay out is cozy yet spacious. They have a great deal on huge meals on Sundays that are definitely worth looking into (but make sure you book ahead of time). Thumbs up!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2011

I Can only say that these people know how to do gastro pubs. Everything from food to drink was top drawer especially at the price for dublin city center. Staff are good fun aswell as the customers. Prepare for a great expierence

“Great Drinks and Very Cozy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2011

I was pleasantly surprised by The Exchequer when I went with a friend the other day. It was a gross rainy day and we were miserable and wet but after we ordered some cocktails and food, my mood immediately turned around. I had the Farm House Gin Punch which is unbelievably refreshing. It was actually so hard to just choose one drink because their list of cocktails looks utterly delicious. I had a large bowl of tomato soup that was served with a huge thick piece of what looked like multi grain, freshly baked, bread. Great service and really friendly staff! Also, free wifi which is a plush. After sitting in a booth for over an hour and being able to relax and have great food/drink, I'll definitely be going back.

“Sunday Roast!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2011

Shared a Sunday roast with a bunch of friends and we loved it. The hands on approach and being able to eat as much as suited was great fun. A bottle of decent wine came with the roast..although we preceded it with a couple of very well made mohitos! Very friendly and attentive staff. Would I recommend Exchequer? Yes!

“Consistently great!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2011

I've been to the Exchequer a number of times since it opened last year and I have always found it great - the food is excellent and really good value for the quality. The staff are friendly, quick to recognise a face and make an effort to accommodate, even without a reservation. Last time I had a special of seabass with black pudding that was melt-in-the-mouth delicious. Their chocolate dessert selection is the epitome of decadence and there's a great selection of artisan beers too.

Also a lovely chilled out place for brunch, there is a dj playing chilled out tunes and the old couches just call for sunday papers and chats.

They now also serve food upstairs in the Library Bar, one of Dublin's best (and worst kept) secrets.
