“Average food and terrible service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2012 via mobile

The food is pretty standard stuff and the menu is very limited. The servers have no interest in the customers. I felt that I wasted my time and money. There are really good Italian restaurants nearby.

“Im a regular guest - great place to feel like you are in Italy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2012

I am a regular guest there, yesterday I invited my friend for a bottle of wine and she was amazed. The service is great, they have delicious wines from different parts of Italy at a good price. They also have nice crostinis, cheeses and antipasto. When I miss Italy - I go there and I feel like in Italy.

“Great wine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2011 via mobile

Good place for the wine!!
They have a really long wine list, filled with good wine, most of them from Italy, you can got there and try some less famous Italian wine!!
The food is good.
There is also a large area with tables on the street, so you can drink your wine and smoke cigarettes without problems!!

“Really is an Enoteca - in the heart of Dublin”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2011

My first time in Dublin for 15 years and Prof Google let me to this slice of the city's new-ish Little Italy. Immediately obvious that it is actually run by Italians. A small list of basic but beautifully prepared offerings, with assembly dishes supplemented by a number of daily specials. (A terrific Penne al Tonno with tomato sause and olives was had, plus a very good cheese and antipasti platter, with fine crusty Italian bread)

But the big surprise - it really merits the Enoteca title. A terrific wine list that seems to cover all areas of "the Boot". Best of all, they've obviously been having some difficulty selling the vinous treasures of the Piedmont to the natives, so were having a 1/2 price sale on some excellent Baroli and Barbaresci. A fine Sottomani Barbaresco 2005 at E35 (WS 93, WA 92) was an absolute steal to an Australian who'd typically pay 3 times that at home.

I came back a second night. Having been on my own the first night I'd given the last 1/4 of the Barbaresco to the owner and staff to finish. Did the same with the Barolo the 2nd night and was offered a cork to take it away. After I refused this, I was given a "special price" on the bottle.

Friendly staff, a nice atmosphere, great value - a top spot for some casual dining and/or drinking when you're in Dublin.

“Great food and wine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2011

Probably one of the best wine bars in Dublin. We went on Valentine's evening and shared a bottle of the wine of the month which was €25, a fantastic red. We also shared a large meat and cheese platter and a Caprese salad which came with bread. The platter was huge and really fresh, the salad had the most amazing mozzarella but could have done with the addition of more basil. Two espresso's finished off the evening.

This is a great little wine bar with really tasty food, Italian seems to be the official language too as it appears to be a favourite with expats.
