“Perfect tea and scones”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

Noticing the mad green exterior and having no time to try out the lunch menu, my mother and I stepped inside and ordered tea and scones in the Pembroke location (note second one in Camden Street). We were lucky to get a seat, as it was very busy around 1.30pm. There was one staff member, who was very quick to serve us. We got a decent pot of tea for two and the scones which were "yum". While the place is small, the seats are comfy and spaced out so you don't feel your jammed up against another customer.
Unlike Voila around the corner, which looks fab as interior goes left one disappointed re the seat down menu. Rhubarb is not perfect but for a daughter and mother it hit all the right notes.Would definitely go back.

“excellent breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2012

Rhubarb is a little cafe with the beast Breakfast in Dublin. Although their was only one person working, she was very efficant and managed to give excellent service. The prices are also very reasonable.

“Lost a valuable customer due to plain rudeness”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2012

I work nearby, and spending at least €8 a day here personally I thought the customer service would be better. My company also spends money in this cafe daily.
At the deli, I ordered the sandwich deal (sandwich, crisps and bottle of water) for 4.90. However, having asked for lettuce on my chicken and tomato sandwich, the owner/manager actually came over and she made the sales assistant re-enter everything separate on the till because I had asked for lettuce and it was only 2 fillings! I asked to be just charged for the extra lettuce then to which she simply replied "No". It then came to 6.50 as opposed to the deal of 4.90.
I will never spend a cent in this cafe again. Customer service for regular customers leaves a lot to be desired!
