“Disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

Three of us were looking forward to a delicious lunch in this well-rated place, but were really disappointed.
Our "welcome" started with the door being slammed in our face 5 minutes AFTER the advertised opening time. Once we persuaded them to admit us, they explained that their reluctance to admit us was due to a delivery - but we couldn't accept the rude way in which this had happened.

After that, the food was only mediocre, and so poorly resembled the menu description as to raise our eyebrows. In fact, you would do far better getting M&S picnic food, and eating it in the park.
The prosecco was warm!

We won't bother trying it again - there are LOTS of other places to enjoy.

“Ham & Cheese & Wine Please!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2012

Taste of Emilia is that kind of place that has been missing in the city centre for quite a while. Would you like to go somewhere nice and pleasant and have a glass of wine and maybe something small to pick on but not a full dinner? Well this is your place. I love their selections of meat and cheese boards and the wines. Never a disappointment. The place itself is quite small but cosy and staff is friendly.

“A little piece of Italy in the centre of Dublin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2012

This place is just a joy. The food and the wines are delicious, but the best thing is they have a fresh counter so you can actually take home some of the lovely meats and cheeses you just enjoyed. This is not like your usual Italian-style restaurant, it is the real deal.

Rather than being a full on restaurant I would describe it as cozy wine bar with Italian specialty snacks. They serve meat and cheese platters, bruscetta, paninis and wraps accompanied by a delicious wine choice. Its is just great for meeting friends and sharing some dishes to nibble on while you are enjoying a chat and a glass of wine.

The staff is super friendly and the service is impeccable.

Try it once and you will return, I promise.
