“Quite entertaining and great Guinness!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

We booked this event in order to guarantee good Irish food and entertainment and we were thrilled that we did. Our host and entertainer was lively as were many of the Irish pub songs and stories. Perhaps it was our anticipation but the Guinness was the best of our vacation.

I would have given this an Excellent rating if the layout were better. Though the venue is small the entertainer was hidden from my view much of the time b the person sitting next to me at our table. Perhaps a bit of a nit, because I would attend this again.

“Excellent evening including storytelling, meal and music”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

We attended the evening of Sept 12th and enjoyed it greatly. I hadn’t expected a one man show but Johhny is a gifted storyteller who knows how to captivate his audience. His storytelling was entertaining and we learnt a lot about Irish culture and history. The musical performance was good fun, too. We particularly enjoyed the interaction with the audience. Last but not least: I had a delicious Beef and Guinness Stew and can highly recommend the evening of Food, Folklore and Fairies at the Brazen Head.
I put down my name and email address and already received some stories and a booklist. Thank you, Johnny.Hope to be back soon!

“Interesting, but overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

The food was just okay and the hot chocolate came from a packet. The stories were interesting, but don't expect a lot. Was good as a storytelling event, but definitely not worth 44 euros.

I am sorry to see the evening did not quite match your expectations but I was disappointed you felt the evening was overpriced . We feel that the price of 44 euros for adults and 40 euros for seniors and students is very good value. This price includes a three course candlelit dinner with plenty of choice, as well as tea and coffee , all while you relax and enjoy wonderful Irish folklore, storytelling and live Irish music in an intimate setting above Dublin's oldest Pub.

“must do”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

Best thing to do in dublin by far. This is they type of even where time stops and you can truly immerse yourself in the moment. The food was delicious and the narrator was charmingly captivating. The evening was a genuinely wonderful experience. You would miss out on a real gem if you didn't go.

“Not a tourist trap - worth the visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

Having been to Dublin several times before, visited the Brazen Head for the first time as part of a tour group for an evening of Food, Folklore and Fairies on the last night of our stay in Ireland. Phillip, the shanachie (story teller), was amazing as he weaved the history of Ireland with folk stories. Maybe leprechauns really do exist?! Two musicians entertained our large group as well. The young staff who served our delicious dinners were quick, professional and delightful to talk to. Even my daughter commented that this was "not a tourist trap" and enjoyed the evening. Would recommend this highly to family and friends.
