“Good food but pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

The restaurant is tucked away upstairs and is small with a noisy atmosphere. The food was good -starters were interesting, main course was quite filling. I had no problems with service which was pretty good. We had forgotten to ask for some salad with our main course but that was brought out for us very quickly. Overall a good place to go for a meal but probably best suited to a chat with a work colleague which it was for me, rather than a romantic meal.
Prices were fairly high as is not uncommon in Dublin these days, possibly a bit more than the service deserved. Toilets are several flights of stairs up at the top of the building which is not ideal for anyone with mobility difficulties.

“Ok, not great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

This restaurant has an interesting menu and good atmosphere. The starters were ok, the mains seemed to take a little long to be brought out and when they arrived they were only warm. Cheese plate and cheese cake were delicious. The mains would have been good had they been at a better temperature.

“Very quirky but fantastic quality!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

Very quaint and quirky little restaurant, excellent presentation and food tastes amazing! Not a massive range on the menu but I like this as it normally means the dishes are done better. Highly recommend.

“Terrible rip-off!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

Went there with my wife and another couple. None of us had starters as they were all ridiculously over-priced and over-hyped. My main course of pork belly was a joke! When it arrived we all looked at the plate and laughed-we thought they had brought out the kids menu it was that SMALL!! A piece of pork belly 1inch x 4 inches,1 little blob of mashed potato and a few bits of veg(a quarter portion). And it wasn't cheap! Normally when you order pork belly you get decent portion as its considered a cheap cut! My wife had Hake and again a tiny portion!! Our friends opted for Shepperds pie which came in an oval small dish piping hot for which they were charging over €18!!!!! Crazy ripoff! Desserts were ok,coffees over-priced and weak. Wine overpriced by at least €5 for the Rioja we had.
Overall a bad experience and definitely won't be going back EVER! Better value try L'GUEULETON or Pichet.

“great place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

really enjoyed my meal here. Food was great. Services was excellent. The location is great. Prices are reasonable. I particularly liked the way the use Irish ingredients to make innovative dishes that still somehow feel traditional (if that is not too much of a contradiction)!
