“More than a Pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

This is more of a class act restaurant than pub in Dublin. The amazing details/decor of this restored old bank make it definitely worth a visit. It is simply beautiful with its fancy wood carvings on the walls and crystal chandeliers. Don't worry, the dress code is still casual. We enjoyed lunch and tasty cocktails while listening to a piano soloist. The service was excellent and this venue is centrally located. We were not disappointed as this was our best meal in Dublin and reasonably priced.

“Elegant Surroundings - lovely atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

A former bank beautifully restored, this well positioned pub on Dame Street is a handy place for everything from catching a quick pint to informal pub dining. Staff are friendly and food options are quite good. A few years ago they used to excel at carvery lunches but that has stopped ..pity.

“Good food and great decor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

This place is an obscure restaurant located close to Trinity College. On the outside of the building it really doesn't seem like anything special. In fact, you might even find it hard to locate if you are looking for something fancy. However, when you do find it and venture inside of the doors you will find an amazing little treat. A bank converted into a bar. They even have a marquee that runs stocks across it to add to the ambiance.

I went during lunch and ordered the full Irish breakfast. It was a rather substantially sized breakfast and left me satisfied. On top of that it only cost 10 Euro. So this breakfast was the same price as most hotels will charge and with a much more spectacular decor.

I would highly suggest that instead of getting some hotel breakfast that you visit this restaurant! You will be way more delighted in this little spectacle than the common dull hotel breakfast room.

“Amazing food in a fabulous building”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

This place is just about perfect. Outstanding food in a fabulous converted merchant bank. I can not recommend The Bank more highly. In a city with lots of great eateries this one stands out and the prices are not as steep as you might expect. Service is excellent. if you prefer a pint with your meal then the Guinness is excellent as well. Even the toilets are worth a visit in the old bank vaults. Located just outside of Temple Bar. Get their early if you haven't make a booking.
