We came to this B&B in need of a place to stay for two nights, coming from other city as we were on holidays in Ireland.
We found the place in an excellent location, very close to the city centre by bus, and not far from the airport as it had an AirCoach Bus stop only a couple meters up the road. We thought breakfast was fine, not a complaint about that, and that the owners treatment was good, they were nice and polite.
Having said that, the room we stayed on was quite run down. The proper way of calling the furniture it's "antique", or in other words, it was probably what my grandmother would've bought when she married. That's not bad if it was kept in good condition, but to my opinion, it wasn't. The bed linen didn't smell all that good either, it was like if they kept it in a wardrobe for ages and then was put to use without washing it again, so it was like an old dust-like humid smell.
The worst part of the room was the bathroom, this definitely looked really bad kept. A very dim light in it, and no mirror light, but worst of all, no air ventilation whatsoever. No windows, nothing. Yes, it dit have a fan but it wasn't enough, the bathroom always kept smells even if you left the fan working all night.
The main problem of this B&B is that it wasn't all that cheap either. Maybe because of the area or maybe because Dublin is all expensive, but in other parts of Ireland, for what we paid here, I would get a very decent hotel.
So, if I had to stay in Dublin again, it won't be definitely here. I feel sorry for the owners because they seemed to be nice people, but they should take care more of their main business.
Avoid unless desperate!
