“Authentic Ireland in the heart of the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

This is a great stop for breakfast, lunch or tea in the heart of Dublin. The scones were outstanding as was the Irish breakfast . Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The atmosphere is like a small parlor in the country, just adds to the charm.

“A peaceful and tasteful haven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

Lived in Dublin for 5 years and Queen of tarts was a place I would go on the weekends to relax! Every time I return to Dublin I still enjoy having a tea and a crumble. The service, the place and the food are just consistently unique! I would recommend the one in cows lane!

“Delicious homemade tea and cake”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

We visited the smaller Queen of Tarts which is a 2 minute walk away on 3-4 Cow's Lane for lunch. We were so impressed we came to this cafe for afternoon tea.

This cafe has a lovely atmosphere and a wide range of cakes. Tea for two was €4.20 and you got a large pot. We then had a lemon meringue tart (€4.95). This was very big and very sweet so you definitely needed the tea with it! My husband had a scone and jam (€2.95 or €3.50 if you have it with cream). The scones are available in the traditional raisin or if you feel like a change you can get blueberry, raspberry, apple or chocolate. The portion of jam was quite small but they happily gave us a second portion.

At the other restaurant we had lunch and ordered the roast parsnip tart (€9.95) this was served with a tasty green salad and some cherry tomatoes. The tart was very good and complimented well by the chutney that was provided. My husband had the chicken sandwich (€7.50). The bread (focaccia) was very fresh but he found the sandwich a little dry. The fresh orange juice (€2.50) was very fresh. Everything is homemade and you can tell!

Queen of Tarts is definitely worth a visit for lunch or afternoon tea (I hear the breakfast is also very good).

“Have a Tart, it's the thing to do!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013 via mobile

Our visit to Dublin wouldn't have been complete without a visit to "The Queen," so, on our last day we took the plunge. Great sweets and coffee. I would highly recommend the lemon meringue tart. Service was excellent and there was no waiting...however, seating at this location is limited. You should put this place on your agenda.
