We stayed in the Downings Bay Hotel in Downings with my wife and father-in-law in May 2006. The hotel is well located right on a spacious beach. We got a special deal at 120 Euros for a double and single including breakfast. The rooms were spacious, clean and well decorated. All staff encountered were very friendly and helpful. My wife also was well pleased with the treatment and service she received in the hotel beauty centre. All in all, everything was excellent with the exception of breakfast, where the soda bread and potato bread were both very dry. However, this is a small and the only criticism of the hotel. We will certainly return.
