“The best pub in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

Great music in a cosy little pub? Go to the Reel inn in Donegal town! The owner, John, is a very talented box player and he invites very good musicians to accompany them. There is a session on every night. I've been there 4 nights in a row and had some great time there. They really give you an idea what Irish music is all about. Also go if you just want to have a drink, their bar staff will serve you a very good pint and are ever so friendly!!!

“Lively and entertaining”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Another great pub in Donegal town, Guinness is very tasty and there is always a nice atmosphere in and around this well run quaint Irish bar, locals up the front and a mixture of music loving locals and visitors in the lounge area.
Good night out with Chris and Siobhan singing all the best tunes and keeping the visitors entranced without any effort.

“An Authentic Slice of Irish”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013 via mobile

There are Irish bars and there are Wannabe Irish Bars. What I can't stand are the OTT fabrications. this is a throwback to when times were gentler and the bars just sold beer and had a guy playing a piano or a guitar. Well tonight it was a guitar and an accordion. Genuine Irish with genuine Irish beer. No continental lagers on tap here. Nice

“Great Music Bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

Great music bar in Donegal. Owner bartends during the day and then plays with the musicians at night. He looks like he could rip your head off if he wanted but he was very nice guy. And helpful also. He called over to The Bridges B & B to set up a room for us.
