“Muckish Mountain cycle”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

This is a tough climb especially after climbing the sides of Errigal. Brilliant views from the top. On a good day one can see forever. Again after a tough ascent there is a mighty descent from there into Falcarragh.

“Beautiful Drive.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

We were heading for Falcarragh and decided to take a detour over Muckish Gap, and we were delighted we did. We wanted to see the "Bridge of Sorrows", which is on the gap, as I'd seen a story on the tv about it. It was at this bridge that loved ones separated in pursuit of some hope of an existence abroad, which Ireland could not offer them.

It's a beautiful drive with magnificent views, and I recommend you stop several times, and soak it all in. Not too much traffic on this route, so you can stop practically where ever you want and take snaps, or just enjoy the view. You'll not come across the like of this very often! Enjoy.

“an alternative to errigal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

most visitors climb nearby mount errigal but this is a challenging climb with spectacular scenery on a fine day. Would be suitable for young teenagers but younger children than that would not be recommended. It can be quite breezy at the top so dress accordingly.

“Beautiful mountain; nice, but tough climb!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

I climbed this mountain a year or two ago, via the quarry side. Tough climb, but wonderful views from the top! Would be very weather dependent. Assume it'd be very dangerous in misty weather!
