“Yet another beautiful stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

An amazing and tranquil stay. Relaxing atmosphere, beautiful surroundings. The welcome we received from staff was genuine. Dining room and sit by the fire after dinner couldn't have been more relaxing. Bar staff had a great sense of humour, suited us Aussies well.

Harvey's Point was our first stop on our cycling trip from Malin Head to Mizen Head. We were exhausted by the time we made it and the welcoming staff and stunningly beautiful rooms and views over the lough were a tonic.
It's a wonderful place to stay and we were only sorry we didn't have more time to enjoy it.

On arrival as the automatic doors opened there was the beautiful rustic smell of the turf fire. We knew we had arrived in the best place for tired travellers. Harvey's Point is the place to go for courtesy, respect, dignity and a most wonderful expereince of the best of Swiss/Irish hospitality. The only word is generosity at all levels from the moment of our arrival we felt cared for. The quality of everything from our rooms to the wonderful flavours of the excellent cuisine was more than we can put in words. Orhan the sommelier is a man who led us to the best of wines that brought great cheer to our hearts. The staff members are second to none in their graciousness and attentiveness to every detail even before we were aware of our needs. We have come away from the beauty of this place at peace with ourselves and our world. Thank you sincerely everyone for a most memorable and wholesome experience that is much appreciated, Frank.

Room Tip: I have nothing to add here!

We had the pleasure of staying in this fabulous hotel recently. It can be summed up in one word - "Wow!!". Harvey's Point is everything you could want and more in a hotel. It is an oasis of calm tranquillity, nestled into the beautiful Donegal landscape. The team in Harvey's Point think of every need you could possibly have and more. You will be treated like royalty and surrounded by the luxury which royals deserve!
This is by far the most outstanding hotel I have ever stayed in and I highly recommend you to book at least one night. I cannot wait to return - this time for the full weekend!

From the moment we arrived we were struck by the quality of this hotel. The staff were welcoming and the room was marvellous. We had an upgrade to a premium suite and it was the most comfortable room we have ever had. The bed was really comfortable and the space was amazing.
The food in the restaurant was very good and the view over the Loch was beuatiful really adding to the dining experience.
We loved everything about Harvey's Point and we will definitely return again.

Room Tip: A premium suite with a loch view is worth going for it really is comfortable, spacious and so relaxi...

The rooms in this hotel are comparable with the best in the world as is the food and ambience.
Our superior lakeside room had it all - 4 poster bed 2 x large flat screeen tvs, piped music to each room (if desired) individual climatic controls to each room, a 6 seated dining area, lounge area, 2 x bathrooms, one with rain shower and heated flooring. A bar area with fully stocked bar and fridge even a bar sink. Coffee and tea making facilities along with home made cookies etc. A view that was also idyllic of the lake and a decking area come balcony that had enough room and outdoor furniture to host a major function if needed. Everywhere is immaculately clean and in pristine condition. All the little touches are there with even the delivery of fresh milk and fruit to you room in the afternoon to ensure freshness. The food in the hotel is excellent and the staff are very friendly and attentive. It came as no surprise that this gem won the award from T.A. as being the best in Ireland and I would concur and suggest that it will be for many years to come.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we found them very considerate, obliging and friendly.

Room Tip: All rooms are upmarket, well furnished and roomy though the lakeside suites have the best view
