I stayed at Harvey's Point from 4th-7th April 2008 for a family wedding. My first impressions were of a a beautiful, opulent hotel with very hospitable staff.

The hotel is situated by Lake Eske, a gorgeous mid-sized lake with breathtaking views and lots of wildlife around.

Our room was fab, with a huge bedroom and a view of the lake, a equally huge bed, and a grand bathroom.

We ate dinner once at the hotel restaurant, which was similarly opulent. The menu was vast, with several veggie options. Presentation was wonderful, and everything was delicious! I highly recommend the angus beef carpaccio, and the pork belly!

The two most exceptional features of my stay at Harvey's Point were the food and the staff. The food I have already mentioned, though I surely haven't done it justice. The staff are the jewel in the crown, however. They are always polite and friendly, and at pains to help. The attention to minute details is amazing. Rooms are turned down several times a day, mini-bar drinks cost the same as drinks at the bar, staff ask if you would like them to take your coat or other belongings whilst you eat, the list is almost endless.

I've never stayed in a hotel like this before. Highly recommended.

Stayed at this hotel in March 2008 and it was just incredible. The rooms were absolutely huge - it was like staying in a suite all to ourselves. Tea and coffee facilities but with proper milk in the fridge provided - not little cartons!! The bathroom was really large and very well lit. From the moment we arrived till we left we were treated like royalty and the staff deserve a special mention as they were all so friendly and helpful. No matter who you passed you got a friendly smile. The food in the restaurant was excellent - there was nothing at all I could find fault with even if I tried. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and this was just in a class of its own and I would recommend it highly. It does not encourage children and it is in the middle of no-where so if it is a holiday where you can just relax and unwind in front of peat fires then it is for you. If you want a lively hotel with attractions all around then it isn't for you.

The luxury and tranquility are second to none and its an ideal place for a chill out getaway

The hotel restaurant offers some of the finest cuisine in the country and the service compliments this too

Room rates are pricy enough but its worth it

What a location

this was our third time at harveys point and it seems to get better. we stayed in the deluxe suite and it was pure luxury. it snowed the first nite and going for a walk the next morning was fantastic with great views. food as usual was lovely and i think someone could have rolled me home! staff very pleasant and we will be returning in june. highly recommended.
