“Not a four star by any means”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2009

Rooms fine, bathroom mediocre; toilet roll dispencers etc. Staff were unfriendly and most of all unhelpful. Plenty of much better and more importantly cheaper locations in the Donegal area. Killybegs or Glencolmcille (Dooey Hostel) much more fun and strongly recommended.

Hotel was great except the leisure centre. Pool was cold. Jacuzzi was cold. there is no sauna even though the hotel advertises a sauna. Steam room was poor. Towels were handtowels all weekend for hotel guest. Bar service & food offer was superb. Gym was very old

I feel compelled to write because I was soo pleased and delighted with everything at this hotel. We went there for a long weekend just to perk us up as we near the end of the cold and dark winter period.
The facilities were great and the staff so helpful and friendly. I asked a lot of questions and information was gladly and patiently given to me. I was constantly greeted with smiles and everyone seemed to make a fuss of us without being in our faces.
The girls on reception couldn't do enough for us. They recommeded what to do and where to go.
The pool and gym were perfect. The rooms were meticulous and the food was exceptional. We ended up eating in the resteraunt every night! If you want a high class hotel with excellent facilities, delicious food and great staff without a stuffy atmosphere then this is the place to go. One of thoose places that turns out be a real surprise and yes we will go back for sure! I couldn't thank them enough!

Just returned from a one night stay at Mill Park. This is a lovely hotel with really friendly and welcoming staff.
The public areas, bar reception etc are really cosy and welcoming. We found our room 348 to be very clean and spacious with a table and two armchairs as well as the usual dressing table, TV etc. The bathroom was also very clean with a good overbath shower.
We had some lunch in the cafe bar which was delicious, seafood chowder was super, very good value. We decided to eat in the Granary restuarant that evening, this proved to be the only bad thing we encountered. We went for the set dinner menu at 35 euro each. The food was very disapointing as the main course seemed as if it had been sitting prepared for too long and we didn't enjoy it. In hindsight we should have complained at the time ,but you learn. All in all we found dinner to be poor value for money.
The breakfast was superb, extensive cold buffet, cereals etc and a self service full cooked breakfast choice, we really enjoyed this and with tea and toast brought to the table by very friendly and efficient staff!
We really enjoyed our stay apart from dinner, would try eating in the cafe bar in the evening instead.

I drove up to this hotel on spec, saw a wedding in progress and scarpered. Having looked around town, I realised there weren't many choices so returned reluctantly.
From the moment I went in to the time I left was a brilliant experience. The staff were as friendly and helpful as you'd get anywhere. The room was great, the food delicious. Service in the bar was instantaneous, and the awareness among the bar staff of what was going on around them was of the standard you would have seen maybe 30 years ago but pretty much doesn't exist anymore. I have to say it was probably the best stay I've ever had in any hotel anywhere.

I stayed in this hotel two weeks ago with my husband & our two year old son, it was just a pleasure from the moment we walked through the doors. The staff could not have been friendlier. It was so clean and had everything that you need for a lovely stay in a beautiful part of the country. I would recommend it to everyone & we will definitely be back.
