“Saturday brunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

I went for the brunch this afternoon and had the buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup and streak bacon and a nice, hot pot of tea. It was delicious and the perfect brunch on a sunny Saturday.

“Fenn's Quay Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

Whenever we are in Cork, we eat at Fenn's Quay at least once during our week-end breaks. The quality of the ingredients is second to none, and are sourced locally. Contrary to one reviewer's remarks here, I have never seen blueberries on the menu to be served with the pancakes. It is always strawberries.... The staff are friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. A broad spectrum of customers eat there, i.e. solo diners, business people, families, couples, and I have no hesitation in recommending Fenn's when visiting Cork.

“Average .”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

We went to Fenns Quay after an absence of some months and were on the whole disappointed.
It lacked the flair that it had in previous years and the menu was disappointing. A mixed fish platter at over 14 euro starter did not not enthuse.

The main of lamb was good and well cooked but cod at over 23 euro for a piece of fish that could be purchased for no more then 3 euro over priced.

The biggest compliant was the desert of Tiramisu al a Fenns Quay. It was nice as a sponge cake but in no way was it any way near the famous desert.

The wine was reasonably priced and at a good temperature.

The staff were friendly but under pressure and probably short staffed as tables that patrons had left were not cleared and some of the area was untidy. The gents toilet was missing the door nob so could not be closed.

All in all just about passed muster.

“disappointing is being nice...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Very overpriced. You can get lunch for the same price in top restaurants in Cork, that actually serve good food. This place didn't. It was empty when we arrived, still we waited 30 min for pancakes. The menu said pancakes with fresh blueberries. I got plain pancakes with literally three blueberries on top. My fiancee ordered a steak burger. It was mince meat, no bun, no salad. What a waste of time and money..
