“Authentic food, great service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014 via mobile

Visited Sultan for the third time, each time a pleasant eating experience. This visit was in another realm altogether! The food was great, carefully prepared, beautifully presented and of am excellent standard. We started with stuffed vine leaves and minced lamb with hummus. I would eat the lamb and hummus again and again and recommend it to anyone. Main was Betat Dejaj, a chicken dish with rice and yogurt. It was beautiful and presented beautifully. Toufik also brought us some traditional bread to sample, freshly made flat bread fragrantly seasoned with a selection of herbs. To finish we had Ginger and Lemon tea. The overall experience was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for authentic Middle Eastern food. PS, the non availability of alcohol did not bother us in the slightest, nor did it any of those who filled the restaurant on a busy Saturday evening. To be honest, it was a relief from some of the pretentiousness sometimes witnessed in other eateries when it comes to wine choices etc. I will be back.... Very soon I hope. Well done Sultan

3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2014

New Restaurant in Cork Scene, Friendly welcome, typical eastern decor and music, sign says no smoking yet 3 girls were sitting in waiting area puffing away on those eastern/type silver pot pipes, Food very good taste, fresh, however small portion main courses. NO WINE no alcohol served !! i would not have stayed if i had known this before i sat down and ordered my meal. This was only a problem for me my wife was quiet happy with her diet coke

“Best Restaurant in Cork!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014

The food is fantastic and the staff are very friendly. We had a three course meal plus Moroccan tea, and it was so good we both cleaned our plates every course. The flavours are lovely, very tasty, and fresh. There's nowhere else like it in Cork.

“Great restaurant ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2014

My first time at this restaurant tonight. We just got a takeaway but the food was absolutely gorgeous, best takeaway in a while, and the Staff were so friendly. We are currently enjoying a cup of tea from complimentary tea leaves they gave us, absolutely delish. We will definitely be back.

“Great Lebanese Restaurant in the heart of Cork”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2014

I had dinner here with a group of colleagues on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was busy and there was nice atmosphere. The staff and service were excellent. They suggested dishes based on our preferences and all courses were delicious. We had a selection of fruit teas and deserts which topped off an excellent meal. I would definitely recommend it and will be back next time I'm in Cork.
