I booked the Belvedere Lodge early as we were staying there on Easter Monday 2007. I completed the booking directly through the website, and only had a slight problem upon arrival, because they booked the room under my email and not my name.
We pre-booked our first night there and were so pleased that we booked our final night there as well.
The rooms were quite spacious and clean. Everyone was extremely friendly and quite helpful. It was slightly outside the city center, so I don´t really know if walking to the pubs would have been fun. But it is in a great location for getting to and from the airport and getting around the Cork area.
Breakfast was well done, with a large variety.
Overall, I was quite pleased, and would return if staying in Cork again.

Having read a couple of less than flattering reviews I was somewhat aprehensive but no need. The welcome was as warm and friendly as from a favourite aunt. The room was immaculate and very well furnished. The staff were friendly and more than helpful, and breakfast was a delight. Although there is a flyover across the road from the hotel, the double glazing and heavy curtains completely blocked any road noise. If I ever find myself looking for a hotel near Cork again I will definately book the Belvedere Lodge!

Great breakfast

We had booked for a four night stay and left after the first night. We would have left immediately, but we had a baby with us and it was 7.00pm. Our reason for leaving was the manager's attitude. We had a couple of problems when we arrived; especially the location. Right on a mian road with a flyover next to it! WE also had some problems with the room; locks on windows, no travel cot, heating too high for the baby and no fresh air. In short his point was if you don't like it, you know where the door is. So we used it.
