Having read a couple of less than flattering reviews I was somewhat aprehensive but no need. The welcome was as warm and friendly as from a favourite aunt. The room was immaculate and very well furnished. The staff were friendly and more than helpful, and breakfast was a delight. Although there is a flyover across the road from the hotel, the double glazing and heavy curtains completely blocked any road noise. If I ever find myself looking for a hotel near Cork again I will definately book the Belvedere Lodge!

Spaciuos rooms & bathrooms. Clean. Helpful staff.

Great breakfast

We had booked for a four night stay and left after the first night. We would have left immediately, but we had a baby with us and it was 7.00pm. Our reason for leaving was the manager's attitude. We had a couple of problems when we arrived; especially the location. Right on a mian road with a flyover next to it! WE also had some problems with the room; locks on windows, no travel cot, heating too high for the baby and no fresh air. In short his point was if you don't like it, you know where the door is. So we used it.

The room was large with two double beds, the bathroom was large also. The bed was made with blankets. Our window looked out on to the motorway at the front door, however we didnt find it particularly noisy. The rooms looking onto the garden would have been nicer I'm sure. Perhaps asking for one would work. The parking was plentiful, the drive to the city brief, even in morning traffic. Not walkable. Easy to find and well signposted. The host was pleasant and helpful, the breakfast was almost anything you want made for you although service with a smile wouldn't go amiss. Costly and didn't have a spirit to the place really, not exactly welcoming but no complaints, everything was at least adequate and much was better than average.
