“Old-style decor”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2012

Victorian theatre with a bar off the entrance hall. They usually offer cut-price tickets on the opening night of a show. Friendly staff.

“A good night!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2012

We went to see the Sunshine Boys on 19 January. The Everyman Palace Theatre is decorated with Victorian details, shame about the heating. There was no heating the night we were there. Also the sound quality is not the best. My mother who is hard of hearing missed most of the show, which was very disappointing. I have been here three times over the last 2 years and each time the sound is very poor. Hoping that the next time I come, it will have improved. The theatre is quite small and has a little tuck shop and bar.

“an atmospheric theatre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2011

One doesn't really review a theatre building but rather the particular artistic event attended. However, this theatre is a nice little Victorian building, comfortable seats, well-heated - and if you have a good play, opera, concert, it's a lovely experience. I was at a very good play and the surroundings definitely added considerably to the theatrical night out.Well done to whoever did the conservation work and preserved the velvet and gold effects.

“Bad Seats”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2011

This used to be the Palace cinema, which always had the most cramped seats around. Now that it is a theatre, the seats are still rubbish, especially if you are on the tall side. The decor is lovely and it has retained its old charm. They have some great shows here, especially one man type productions. It is ideally suited for those. The bar in the theatre is ok, and can get very packed. They do a good panto at christmas and have decent musical reviews from time to time.

“Such an adorable theater!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2011 via mobile

We saw the man who left the titanic while visiting cork, and absolutely loved it! The play was wonderfully done...though there could have been a larger variety of props...and the theater itself was a Victorian beauty on the inside!
