“Pleasant & Central”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

Third time staying in this hotel and had a comfortable time. The car parking is a bit quirky & it would be helpful if the owners would ALWAYS advise visitors that car parking is extra and that you have to collect a special fob to get in to the car park (that is not connected to the hotel), so check in and check out can be a bit awkward. Also note that the actual hotel entrance is off the street under an arch, which may confuse first timers.
Check in on this occasion was a delight & the receptionist most friendly and helpful; the room on the third floor was modern and had all the basics (except for shower caps, but I suspect this was a one off). Continental breakfast was really lovely, as it was Sunday morning a few more newspapers in the dining room would have been nice. Overall a lovely hotel in quite a central location and I shall return.

Room Tip: Third floor rooms seem to be most modern & even though we overlooked the street we were so high...

Just back from another stay at Isaccs apartments, travelled with a group of ten friends and booked one three bed and two, two bed apartments, again very satisfied with everything, had not seen the two bed before this trip and found them to be equally as nice and spotlessly clean like A the three bed, All of the group were very happy, I will say I have never met a receptionist as pleasant as Marie, keep up the good work Marie and will see you again in 2014

This is the second time we have stayed in Isaacs Hotel for a pre Christmas shopping break. The hotel is very centrally placed.
We had dinner In Greene's Restaurant and it was excellent. The breakfasts were really good, the main course was freshly cooked and delicious. We couldn't even face a cup of coffee until around 4 pm. each day, we were so full.
Why do some other hotels serve a buffet type breakfast, which is usually cold and awful? This is not something one could say about "Isaacs"
The lady at Reception could not have been friendlier and remembered our room number and name every time we returned.
We have stayed in 4 star hotels elsewhere in Cork City, but would now, never consider staying, anywhere else.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 217. It was vey quiet, but possibly not the biggest room available. This was somet...

We stayed one night. As it was our anniversary we booked an executive room which was good value (no breakfast though) We have stayed before and the standard rooms are quite plain. The executive room was lovely, plenty of space and very quiet (room119 recommended). We love Isaacs as it is very central, right opposite The Everyman. Staff lovely and Greenes Restaurant is also lovely.

We have just returned from a four-day break in Cork. This was our first time to stay in Hotel Isaacs and we were very pleased with our stay. We got a great welcome when we arrived and found the staff, without exception to be friendly and well trained. The reception is very nice and cosy and friendly. For an old building the only part which shows its age is the lift - although it still functions perfectly.
The room was very comfortable and well laid out. The highlight, however, was the breakfast. Check out Greenes Restaurant and then realise that this is where breakfast is served - a very nice dining room with a great view of the stunning water-feature.
The breakfasts were excellent - among the best hotel breakfasts we have had. The buffet was middle-of-the-road but the hot breakfasts were cooked to perfection, the ingredients were first-class, the food was very well presented and looked and tasted as if great care had been taken in the kitchen.
For its breakfasts alone we will be back.

Room Tip: If you are sensitive to traffic noises a room at the back of the hotel might be worth requesting.

It had been nearly ten years since my last visit, and it was a pleasure to return to the little gem. It is In a great location with very reasonable rates which makes this is a great place to stay.

The rooms are large and it looks like the bathrooms have been given a revamp. The staff, bar the breakfast waitress where all very friendly and they add to the charm of the place.

There is secure car parking which is just a short walk away from the hotel and although the €5 fee was not advised at the time of booking it is still very reasonable compared to other options.

We were in room 108 which is a nice quiet spot and allows the pleasure of the large water feature to be both seen and heard.

I would definitely stay again and hope that it continues to be revamped over time.
