“Great Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

This hotel was a nice surprise. I usually stay in B&Bs when in Cork, but the ones with center city locations were booked. The location of Hotel Isaacs is a nice walk to center city, but I wasn't expecting too much from the hotel when I booked. It exceeded my expectations and was a lovely hotel with very nice rooms and large ensuites. I was staying along with another couple and both our rooms were very nice for the price. Parking was also available about a block away for only 5 euro/night. If I return to Cork, I will be checking this place first.

This hotel is a wonderful find in Cork. Just a short walk from St Patrick's bridge and the city center. It's location makes it very easy to drive to Blarney Castle.

Our double room was spacious with a huge in suite bathroom. The reception staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They took the time to point out some wonderful places to visit on our map!

The entrance to the hotel is down a cobblestone alley with a patio and waterfall at the end! Our room over looked this area as was very quiet!

I'd return here in a heartbeat!

I recently enjoyed an overnight stay in this friendly, central and cosy hotel. We were welcomed by the friendly and helpful receptionist who offered advice on where to eat, drink and enjoy the night in Cork. We stayed in a very large room at the front of the hotel and despite the proximity to the busy street, it wasn't too noisy. The room and adjoining bathroom were immaculatly clean. We enjoyed a delicious meal in the hotel restaurant (Greens), it was very busy so I would advise booking a table. Breakfast options were varied and of a high quality. I would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: If you're a very light sleeper ask for a room at the back.

Recently stayed with my sister on short visit to Cork city. Hotel Isaccs just fitted the bill perfectly in terms of location. Room was clean and fresh, located at the front so there was some street noise but tolerable. ( if we wanted complete quiet we would have camped in the countryside!!)
Parking was reasonable at €5.00 in quiet safe car park within easy walking distance. Staff were friendly and most helpful. I will stay here again for longer next time I hope.

We went to Southern Ireland on a tour with a choir I sing with. We were based at Hotel Isaacs in Cork. It was excellent, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was superb especially the lamb shank. Breakfast was a real treat too with so much choice. But for us the highlight of the trip was the hospitality - everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Hope to go back in the near future for a chance to explore the beautiful countryside at length. ps loved the water feature in the couryard.

We stayed here with a large group and had an excellent stay. Our spacious room faced the one way street which was busy and noisy late at night but a pair of ear plugs sorted that! Shower was effective and room was clean. The high point of our stay was the staff who were welcoming and highly professional. The young lady who was in charge of the restaurant was excellent, as were all the waiting staff. We had tasty meals which were excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.
