“Best view from across the river”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

Walking in front of the city hall does not do it justices you need to view from aross the river to appreciate the building and the view at night when lit up is quite stunning.

“CORKS a CORKER”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

Cork city buzzes, it's bedlam,it's loud,it's colourful,it's chaotic. The city is small (the natives are friendly) so don't be afraid to get lost down side streets, plenty of places to eat and drink. there are some interesting non-touristy pubs and places to eat. full of good shops. This isn't Paris or London so you won't see a lot of style. Plenty of beggars,drunks,winos.....but it's a happy place. Pennys is a clothing shop on the main street, it is usually heaving. Dunnes, another clothing shop, across the street is usually empty. Then there is M and S...if you want something non descript, or you are going to visit an elderly aunt/interview/funeral etc etc......In Cork the traditional greeting is "How's it going"...however you run the three words together and say "Housesitgoin"....slighty singing the 'goin' bit PS: I have never been in CITY HALL

“Very nice.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

Arriving for a presentation, the outside was dressed with baloons and of course posters for upcoming concerts etc...but nothing could take away the natural beauty of the building.
When we went in, it was lovely, and as we got into the presentation room we were treated with a broad, open space, with gorgeous balconys for perfect view.
Overall, its a stunning, well kept building, however I cant help thinking, the building is lacking something. Maybe some guided tours once every week should do it.
