Myself, my partner and my two grown up daughters stayed in Maryborough for one night on Saturday 27th November. We travelled from Dublin to attend a Graduation in UCC. I had mentioned when making the reservation some weeks earlier. Although we weren't guaranteed that our rooms would be ready at our requested time of 1.00pm the hotel came up trumps and so we got ready in comfort. They also supplied us with comprehensive directions to and from the University. Dinner in the restaurant that evening didn't disappoint - the food was first class. The only criticism I would make was the absense of any co-ordination in the dining room at the breakfast sitting the following morning. The hotel was heavily booked and the pressure told - things when eventually brought to the table came in fits and starts - even the waiting staff were remarking on the chaos. Nonetheless we wll be back!

From the time we arrived we found the staff very friendly & efficient. The room was spacious & very well equipped. The menu for dinner was very good, particularly the starter menu & the food when it arrived was excellent. The breakfast has got to be the best i have had in a hotel. I will definitely stay at the Maryborough again & will be recommending it to my friends.

Lovely hotel with nice staff and warm atmosphere. Enjoyed the restaurant aswell and good value. Breakfast selection excellent and rooms comfortable. Special mention for "Kitty" at breakfast, she travelled far for "brown sauce" and made me and family feel right at home.

This was our 3rd visit to Maryborough and again we were not disappointed. We were welcomed by very friendly and helpful staff who made checking in a pleasant experience. The rooms were very clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. The hotel is ideally located for shopping with Mahon Point Shopping Centre less than 10 mins by car and with easy access to the city. Other locations such as Kinsale are also easily reached. The information brochure provided gave useful advice on local amenities and places to visit.
The excellent breakfast and dinner were served by friendly and courteous staff.

I’ve just returned from a second visit to the Marybrough Hotel in four months. This time there was no child only me and my wife.
Great to be welcomed by very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Can’t do enough for you.
We booked Double Room with a Jacuzzi bath for two nights.
These limited rooms are on the ground floor near the Spa in a very peaceful and quite area of the hotel away from family rooms. They are modern designed with soft lighting as to give a sense of romance. The large Jacuzzi bath accommodates two people which is a nice touch.
The only let downs to the room is the humming noise going 24 hours a day from the Air-conditioning. The Air-con cannot be turned off by you in your room. The only way to switch off the Air-con in the room is by turning of all the rooms Air-con in this area of the hotel by staff which was never going to happen.
There are no windows, only a sun light roof.
We were delighted to hear that Zings restaurant had opened up once again in the hotel as it had been closed on our last visit, we booked a table for the Sunday night only to be told that the restaurant didn’t open on a Sunday but we could eat in the bar area. We had a two course meal (starter & main meal) and a bottle of house wine €85. The food was nice and tasty and the service was good but for bar food this was a bit over priced.
Keep your money and head down to the many restaurant and good food bars in the near by village of Douglas for half the price on a Sunday night.

I would still recommend this hotel to stay in as it does have a lot to offer.

I stayed here with my husband and with my sister and her husband. It was a birthday treat. We arrived to a hassle-free check-in and headed straight to the leisure centre followed by the relaxation area. All our cares floated away. We then went back to the beautiful bedrooms and freshened up for dinner. We had views of the stunning garden outside. The restaurant food was top class with excellent service. In fact the staff throughout the hotel were incredibly attentive and helpful. Following a fantastic nights sleep we had a gorgeous breakfast and unfortunately had to check out.
