“Excellent hotel. Fabulous facilities. Funky and comfortable room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2011

We stayed here for a weekend while attending a football match in Pairc Ui Rinn. The hotel was very conveniently located, as Pairc Ui Rinn is only 0.8miles from Douglas village and the hotel itself is about 0.5mile from Douglas.

This is a very very nice hotel, was an impressive lobby and really nice rooms. I especially loved the funky lights in the room which changed colour at the touch of a switch. The bed itself was unbelievably comfortable. I even checked to see what kind of mattress it was as I now want the same one! The room was quite small but perfectly adequate for two people. The bathroom was lovely nice with three body shower nozzles. Thee only complaint that I would have would be that the window could do with a clean, as I have to say it was quite dirty.

We ate in Suttons bar the first night and the food was nice, no complaints. There is a lovely area of armchairs and sofas to sit and relax with a few drinks.

The breakfast each morning was very very nice. Not as much choice as some breakfasts I have had in other hotels but everythingthat was there was very tasty. I was also glad to see the use of Irish produce - yoghurts, black pudding etc.

The swimming pool and sauna were lovely, facilities were very good.

All in all I will definitely be staying here again if I am ever in Cork

I recently organised a cookery demonstration. Well I thought I had all the bases covered. I was wrong and only for such attentive staff my night would have flopped.
They thought of everything.
Thank you Tom, Colm, Elaine and Jim for everything.
We had some friends stay on the night and they were treated as if they were celebrities. Can't say thank you enough.

Good location, friendly staff, good food and a really comfortable environment, we stayed as a group of 4 male friends, and loved the heated tiles in the bathroom floor, just an example of the attention to detail all through the hotel, excellent place to stay.

My wife and I recently stayed at the rochestown park for a long needed break. the hotel was a fabulous location in douglas village.. from check in to check out the staff were suberb and the feeling of welcome there great.. this hotel is what its all about.. friendly staff made us feel so welcome at all times.. for such a busy hotel the attention to detail was great with nothing a problem..
the rooms were lovely and clean with a great bathroom.. the beds they have there are the most comfotable i have ever slept on ..
cork city is only a short hop away by taxi . douglas is a great spot for restauraunts and pubs also a market on saturdays next to the shopping centre.. we ate in the hotel both nights and were very pleased with the food.
the lesure centrre is a must see.. huge pool and saunas and steam.. we were to relaxed to enjoy the spa but we will the next time..
we will return again without hesitation..

We recently celebrated a family occasion at the Rochestown Park Hotel. From the moment we arrived the service was top class. The staff were excellent and could not do enough for us. The food served was scrumptious. The room provided was very comfortable and was perfect as we had a number of small children. It was obvious that the staff were well trained and take pride making their guests feel special. The hotel was busy at the time, but this did not take from the personal attention we received. We will certainly be visiting the Rochestown Park Hotel again.

We have been here over 20 years since it opened. All in all great service, good Irish breafkast and two bars that provide good food and Craig. Gym is great as always with large pool. Free Wifi is working good. The rooms all have been modernized and are very comfortable.
