“Parties in the Corridors!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2011

If you're looking forward to tremendous parties in hotel corridors after the resident bar shuts at 3am, this is the place to stay. If you'd rather have a restful night ahead of sight-seeing the following day, it'd be best stay somewhere with better night-time porters. I've signed up to Tripadvisor to leave my first review as I'm still tired from those interruptions two days later.

Travelled in a group of 6 friends staying in 2 interconnecting triple rooms. Rooms weren't large but they were fine, a little dated, clean.

Staff were all very friendly, from the receptionists to the night porter who let us bring our own drinks to the lobby at 4am! I think we were making a little too much noise in our room.

Great location in relation to the city. 10.50 for a gorgeous buffet full irish, can't go wrong. 69 euro for a triple room what a bargain.

One black mark against the hotel is the parking issue. Car park was full so we had to park on the street and pay 2euro for a parking disc 2 hours and put it on at 8.30am ( we did this the night before) then again at 10.30. Not exactly ideal if you fancy a lie in.

In saying that, I would definitely stay here on another girls wkend in cork, however not for a romantic trip with my boyfriend

I have stayed at the Jury's Inn Cork for the past seven years. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. They were very helpful before my visit and welcomed me as a return guest. The hotel is very clean and it is very convenient to the train and the bus. There is a restaurant and bar near the lobby.

I emailed prior to arrival to ask for a river view room and they took care of everything - they couldnt have been nicer. The reception staff and reservations were all very nice and welcoming and truly made me feel at home.

The rooms are basic but the hotel has been renovated since my visit last year. Overall the hotel is a good value for the price, no frills but a very friendly staff. I recommend to my friends and co-workers and will stay here again.

This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a place to throw the head, over priced food and bar make dining and drinking in the city a more economic option.

But the staff and security are a disgrace, very intimidating to my friends and I just becasue we where a group of lads on a booze weekend, they thought they had to be heavy handed with us....would have rather slept in a doorstep than here with the treatment and victimisation we received.

I contacted the manager after, ha ha was offered a reduced price in the place if i ever went there again. As if I would like, DIVE!

The hotel is situated 10 minutes walk to east of centre, with a good view over the River Lee. It is noisy with the traffic, but we did get a good night's sleep. The room was fine, but was disappointed to find no bedding for the fold up bed for the kids. A further fault with the shower, it could not be turned off, virtually every time you had a shower, room service armed with a wrench fixed it. For all occasions the staff were prompt. The car park is very small, managed to get the car in the second day, but the staff were not keen to let you in, even when you pointed out a space. The first night parked to the rear of hotel, free from 1830 to 0830. Didn't eat in the hotel, had breakfast in the english market, well worth a visit. Had a drink in the bar, good beers, coffee + hot chocolate, but a bit small when the place is full.

This hotel is NOT the River Lee Hotel which used to be called Jury's Inn. Two completely different hotels!!
Jury's Inn Cork is clean, warm, affordable and close to the City Centre. Thats it!! The hotel has no charm the rooms are very dated and the car park is tiny so get parked and do not move the car again until your leaving Cork.
Housekeeping came to our door both mornings at 8am which I believe to be a little bit early and their was a strong smell of cigarettes in the corridors.

Well arrived rather bright and early into Cork Airport at 0800. Typical we had just missed the Airport Shuttle Bus, but hey never mind jumped into a Taxi and only cost 16 Euro's, which I don't think was too bad, considering we we're stuck in rush hour traffic as well.

Ok so arrived at the hotel, too early to check in, but reception excellent and no problem at all with keeping our bags till room available.

We had breakfast there, was 10 Euro's perhaps a little dear but well worth it as not having the hassle of going to search for something to eat. I have to say was extremley impressed with the breakfast choice and was really surpirsed. The other two days off staying at the hotel we had pre paid for our breakfast which was well worth it and not as expensive as booked the hotel through Hotels.com.

Quality of the room canot fault at all, we we're over looking The River Lee, was concerened as we we're facing onto the main road but when the window was shut you couldn't here a thing, perfect.
The room as spotless, the bathroom was spotless as well plenty of hot water, excellent. Walking around the hotel thought it was well kept and very tidy.

For Cork itself I probably would not go back as the same as the other reviewer, much prefered Dublin, but hey at least I can say I've been there and kissed The Blarney Stone.

Good amount of restaurants to choose from. something for everyone.

I would defitnaltey recamend this hotel as stayed in The Hitlon @ Gatwick before the flight and not that impressed with that, felt nowhere near as good aThe Jury's Inn.
