As budget hotels go, this like other Maldron's is a high standard. Rooms are small but modern, clean and comfortable. Location is good - a 5 minute walk to the central Patrick Street. The staff were wonderful - very efficient, friendly and professional.
3 areas of warning:
In true budget hotel fashion toiletries amount to a bottle of Dove stuck to the wall and towels and thread bear and thin on the ground.
The hotel can also be noisy. Bedroom doors slam shut. There has been no investment in slow closing, quite hinges here.
The car park is small. If you don't get a spot I'm not sure what the alternative is. Possibly parking in town and walking over.
All in however, location is great for Cork, prices are very keen and i have no real complaints.
