This is such a pleasant, de-stressing and relaxing walk that it’s surprising so few actually use it. Actually, maybe it’s wonderful that so few people use it as it means it’s also quiet and uninterrupted.
The walk takes about an hour or so one way but with such wonderful scenery, bird and wildlife it could well take you longer as you stop, watch and listen. Seats are thoughtfully provided in many scenic spots but what’s stopping you from plonking yourself down in some sunny spot anywhere and enjoy the peace? There’s not a shred of litter anywhere, so do the right thing and bring yours home too.
If you’re not a regular walker, dress appropriately as the track can be muddy in parts out of season and bring your own snacks and drinks. Track is unsuitable for buggy wheels and cycling or horse riding on the walk is not permitted.
There’s a perfect little hidden beach half way along – see if you can find it down a little path although at high tide it disappears. The walk ends at another little beach but you’ve got the return walk to look forward to.
