“Enjoyed our stay. Very good location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2011

We stayed here for 2 nights on a special offer deal. A nice place and a great location.
The rooms are very spacious and very well equipped. The food was very good, a buffet breakfast and the dinner in the evening was very good also. Staff were friendly and always on hand. Cork city is also about 10 min drive away, but we found parking difficult.
We would definately stay at this hotel again.

Dear Guest,

Many thanks for the great review you left with us recently. Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. We boast 300 complimentary car parking spaces, which is one of the many benifits of the location of our hotel. Hope you got to enjoy the hydrotherapy swimming pool whilst here. I will pass your kind compliments to our Chef.

We look forward to welcomming you back to the Radisson again soon.

Kind Regards,

Mark Moynihan

We stayed for 3 nights on a package deal and had a excellent experience. Some recent expierences had me thinking that the "hotelier" had been replaced by the developer and that getting your money off you with little in the way of real hospitality in return was now the norm. The staff ast the Radisson Blu in Little Island proved me wrong! There had been a mix up with the booking but that was sorted out prior to arrival and when we did check in, it was again apologised for and we received a room upgrade which was very much appreciated. (A special note of thanks to Jenny & Orla for sorting that out for us). Every single member of staff including the Duty manager went out of their way to say hello and ask if we were enjoying our stay. A special thanks to Piotr (sorry about the spelling if thats wrong) in the dining room who looked after us really well and sorted out room service for us (at our request) when our 7 month-old decided to try and shatter every glass in the place with his high pitch wailing.

The company I work for uses this hotel regularly for meetings and now I know why.

If you want a hotel that will look after your needs in the Cork City area, I would be surprised if you find anywhere better.

We have stayed here numerous times and found it mostly excellent , just back from weekend break where we were harrassed by a drunken man in the lobby as we sat there having a few beers on the friday.
I reported this to the hotel and have not heard anything yet.
this fella decided to join us everytime he went to the toilet and i could handle him but my elderly parents didnt want to make a scene so we ended up going to bed early , which was disapointing as we had spent day shopping and looked forward to a few beers and grub in the lobby seating area as we always sit there

Dear Guest,

Many thanks for your extremly positive comments. I really enjoyed the subject line for the review. We try to create a relaxing atmosphere for all our guests, be it for business of leisure. You are correct, we did have a large function on the night in which you stayed but thanks to a sound proof ballroom, the noise level is minimal.

We look forward to welcomming you to the hotel again soon to enjoy the Hydrotherapy pool.

Kind Regards,

Mark Moynihan

Stayed here for just one night whilst passing through Cork. I was aware that the hotel was a long way from Cork itself but booked anyway!

The hotel is very new, modern and well kit out. There's plenty of free parking and the leisure centre is top notch.

Rooms were modern and fairly spacious but don't expect top views (unless you like car dealerships or other aspect of an industrial park!) Staff were friendly and pleasant.

The hotel does represent excellent value for money though and is well worth a look.

Stayed here for a friends wedding. The function itself was fantastic and must compliment the food at the wedding itself. It was excellent...much better than the standard wedding fare.

On check-in at 4.30pm however, our room was not ready, and we were not the only guests in the situation. Had to wait over 40 mins, and missed the weddings drinks reception as a result. Considering that the hotel would have been well aware that a large number of the wedding guests would have been checking in around that time, it was not a great start. We had a Business Class Room, but apart from a Nespresso coffee machine, I really couldn't see why the room was considered a superior room, or why it warranted a premium price. It just seemed like any other comfortable hotel room. Did notice that the selection of TV channels available was more limited than other hotels of the same rating.

Buffet breakfast was very good.

Didn't use spa, so unable to comment.

Overall service was pretty good, although very formal and impersonal. Would suggest this hotel more as a business hotel, rather than for a romantic getaway or family stay.

Dear Guest,

Many thanks for your comments in relation to your stay with us. Since you left this review with us we have decided to increase the number of telivision stations available in our business class rooms. We listen to all guest feedback as this can result in the hotel improving the service we provide.

My deepest apologies for the delay at check in. I have raised the issues with both front desk and accommodation to improve on the speed of getting rooms ready, whilst maintaining the quality of each room.

Many thanks for your constructive criticism. Hope to welcomming you back to The Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Cork very soon.

Kind Regards,

Mark Moynihan
