“The White House Blarney”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

You'll see the house right when you drive into Blarney, so easy to get to. Off street parking, also up from the street so not as much traffic noise as Blarney is a busy town. Delightful and welcoming home. Living room to lounge and read in when not in room. Rooms are medium size, bathrooms of decent size, hot water, best bath towels than any other B&B we went to, beds were very good, rooms heated nicely. Breakfast was exceptional and plenty to eat continental style as well. It is very close to the square in Blarney but one must still drive to the square.

This was our 4th B&B while in Ireland. Our hosts were very nice. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have some full sized towels in the bathroom. The shower was very small and very little counter space to lay any toiletries. I found that the room was quite dated. Breakfast was fairly good in the morning. Close to Blarney castle but I'm not sure that we would stay here again. We had spent the night before at an amazing B&B that would blow any 5 star hotel out of the water. I think the value for this place was decent.

My wife and I decided to travel across Ireland without any reservations or place to stay and we wound up in Blarney. It was late and everything was closed, so we thought to try our luck here at THE White Hours Absolutely wonderful warm greeting at the door and with open arms they showed us our room and gave us sound advice about traveling.

My fiance and I stayed here during our recent Ireland trip. It was my first experience with a B&B, and our second night of seven in Ireland. The establishment as well as the hosts were excellent. By far the best B&B we stayed at during our trip. We booked a package through Aer Lingus that allowed us to choose our B&B's and use vouchers at those respective establishments. We had no issue using the voucher, and Pat and Regina were such gracious, sweet hosts. Pat welcomed us and gave us a ton of information about the surrounding area, including information on shopping, food establishments and (because the next day was Easter Sunday) information on church services. The room we stayed in was lovely, clean and WARM (it has been an exceptionally cold March in Ireland this year)! We had a lovely en suite bathroom as well as free WIFI. The town/pubs and Blarney Castle is a very short 5-10 minute walk from the B&B. Also, the Irish breakfast they had available the next morning was delicious, and very plentiful. Overall, I would not only recommend this B&B as a place to stay during your Ireland trip, but hope to return here on our next visit. Thank you for such a great experience Pat and Regina!

My mom and I stayed at the White House while traveling around Ireland and it was the 4th bed and breakfast we stayed at on our trip. It was the best one we stayed at.

Location: It was a 5 minute walk to the town centre and Blarney Castle. Blarney is a small town, but it is also located a perfect distance from Cork and the White House is right near a bus station with busses to the city centre.

Rooms: We stayed in the front room and it was very clean (not musty at all as one reviewer mentioned) and we were both plenty warm as there were great blankets on the bed and the radiator was on when we arrived. The shower was great, but it did take 2-3 minutes sometimes for the water to get hot but nothing to complain about really.

Hospitality: The host, Pat and Regina are absolutley wonderful and breakfast was delicious. You can order from a selection and they make it fresh. I believe the Menu and some pictures are on the website and what you see there is very much what you get. It was very good and we were never left hungry.

Pat was more than happy to recommend things for us to do and suggest other towns and sites to see. He was full of helpful advice and suggestions!

There is wifi throughout and there is even a computer available for use if you lack a computer/phone/tablet.

Overall a wonderful stay, great value, and the best place to stay for a visit to Cork and the surrounding area.

Pat was great. We got there a little late, and he welcomed us in, gave us stacks of advice on visiting the Castle to where to take our washing. Breakfast was excellent, and made allowances for different tastes. We checked out with more advice on routes out of town and what to see where. Very hospitable and nice accommodations. We know where we'll stay next time we're in the Cork area.

Stayed here for one night in late December. There's not much I can add to an already impressive amount of positive Tripadvisor feedback on The White House.

Pat and Regina could not do enough for us. They made us feel welcome, cooked up an excellent breakfast (thanks for the poached eggs tip) and sent us in the right direction on our continuing travels.

The rooms were well furnished and warm, beds comfortable, WIFI excellent and hot water hot.

Blarney town is a five minute stroll where you'll come across some lively pubs for dinner and alcoholic beverages.

Look forward to returning one day.
